I was figuring you needed 7 or 8 points out of the last 12 to clinch first. That's still well within the range of possibilities. Like I said, don't get too p!ssy ... yet. What we all want to see is a UAA/SCSU matchup in the playoffs. Right? Cos UAA has only ever won once at the concrete center. Right? Keep your chin up. Don't fret ... yet. This is big. St. Cloud only has a one point lead now, and might not get that first round bye against UAA.
I didn't expect us to win all 6 of our last games. Especially after we had a three point lead. The pressure is back on now. I just think it is funny how we lose one game and now it is 'uh oh, SCSU is going to choke'. If we lose tomorrow, then I will be worried. As far as 'what we all want', I can only speak for our fans. And I can't think of a better scenario than playing UAA at home.I was figuring you needed 7 or 8 points out of the last 12 to clinch first. That's still well within the range of possibilities. SCSU lost last night, and so did UND. Are both teams crapping out or only one, and if just one why not both? Prognostication certainly is an arcane and counter-intuitive art.
The Duluth team that was tied with the Gophers with 6 minutes left in the game have no shot at winning or tying? That would probably be news to them.Because North Dakota has actually won something, where as St. Cloud has NCAA failure as its legacy.
Huskies need to go 4-1 at worst now the rest of the way to finish in 1st. Denver can steal a game next weekend, but Duluth and Bemidji have no shot at helping us out.
Yeah um ... this thread started before this weekend's series. It was/is the perfect time to start tracking SCSU's inevitable and annual bed crapping. Their colons may be full and some leaks may be happening. But nothing has really exited said colons ... yet.
....I am curious as to where you are getting this "annual bed crapping" stuff.
Last time I checked you don't get any points for being tied with 6 minutes left. How many Duluth fans out there have a reasonable expectation of picking up points tonight?
I can count on you to ask the spectacularly BAD QUESTIONS. Thank you ... deeply. Here's where. Since the 01/02 season SCSU has performed miserably "down the stretch". Only thrice did they perform at or better than their season winning percentage and all three of those years were close to .500 seasons overall. Each and every other year they "crapped the bed". Here's the data:
01/02 -- 29-11-2 overall record -- starting Feb 22nd they finished the season going 3-6-0
02/03 -- 17-16-2 overall record -- starting Feb 15th they finished the season going 3-6-2
03/04 -- 18-16-4 overall record -- starting Feb 15th they finished the season going 0-7-2 ... Hint-o-rama they were 18-9-2 on Feb 14th
04/05 -- 14-23-4 overall record -- starting Feb 12th they finished the season going 1-7-1
05/06 -- 22-16-4 overall record -- starting Feb 17th they finished the season going 5-6-1
06/07 -- 22-11-7 overall record -- starting Feb 16th they finished the season going 4-6-2
07-08 -- 19-16-5 overall record -- starting Feb 8th they finished the season going 8-4-2
08-09 -- 18-17-1 overall record -- starting Feb 7th they finished the season going 3-5-1
09/10 -- 24-14-5 overall record -- starting Feb 16th they finished the season going 5-6-1
10/11 -- 15-18-1 overall record -- starting Feb 4th they finished the season going 4-6-2
11/12 -- 17-17-5 overall record -- starting Feb 17th they finished the season going 5-3-1
That's a legacy of peeing down the leg. A history of season ending futility if you will. I bet you don't ask me too many questions ever again huh?
OH!!!!!
so, how did UAA do during those periods?
