I would assume Tech would bring their gold "throwbacks". I use that term losely because to be a throwback they have to be something other than what you've worn every year for decades.

And to answer the original question, SCSU chokes it away vs MTU with the Cup in the house waiting to be presented. Instead, Tech sweeps the fake Huskies, enforces their guardianship and takes the MacNaughton cup back to Houghton with them, since the cup can only rightfully be given to a team that will be a conference member next year, not a pretend member who didn't really want to be in the conference after all. Even if they had enough points to clinch, I'm sure SCSU wouldn't accept the trophy anyway since it would remind them of the WCHA.

I read the entire thread and I don't think anybody has seriously addressed uaafanblog's original question. I have elsewhere, and, I will here again.

Once SCSU got even so much as a single point from Minnesota in their head-to-head series it was over as far as I am concerned. The MacNaughton Cup is now theirs to lose.

Here's my guess as to the finish:

SCSU 39 points
Minny 38 points
ND 36 points
UNO 34 points
DU 33 points
MSM 33 points
WI 31 points

Not Wisconsin in the playoffs! Anything but the torture of that. Their motto - Win or lose, boredom ensues.

Also, looking at the schedule, I think there's a strong possibility of the Gophers closing the season with 6 straight wins.

There is nothing that annoys me more than all the idiots on this board who can't properly quote a post. Then there all these orphaned quote tags in posts.

Oh and if anyone now purposely quotes this post wrong, I will hunt you down and stab you in the larynx with a wooden spoon.

Hope St. Cloud keeps on winning at least until NCAA Tournament Selection Day. That will help UNH's PairWise Ranking. ;)

UMD at home, DU at home, and at BSU. Considering DU only gets swept by SCSU, I can't see the Gophers winning all six. I could two sweeps and a 3pt weekend against DU at best. I personally think the Gophers will only win four of their last six though.
