Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

Bob Seger was just on the KQ morning show, and was talking about his song Roll Me Away. It turns out that the song was about a motorcycle ride he did around the Great Lakes couter-clockwise. The line, "Twelves hours out of Mackinaw" is his stop in Rochester, MN. He said that when he left the MI, it was 80 degrees. By the time he got into Rochester it was night time and 45 degrees. :D

That tune (heck, just about all of Seger's songs) was always on my cassettes when I rode cross-country.

You young'uns probably don't know what cassettes are...were. That's OK....I don't recognize about 90% of the artists/albums/songs on this thread! :p ;)

Rebelution - Bright Side of Life

Probably shouldn't like this "white boy reggae" album as much as I do, but ****, it's catchy as hell. :)

My Bloody Valentine - M B V

just taking a listen now to the 1st tune on the long-awaited follow-up to LOVELESS

hmm

it's pretty ok...I mean the wait between LP's set expectations way to high for even the Beatles to match...but this is (thusfar very early) a decent start

god those guitars are starting to remind me of Swervedriver at their best

Gorillaz - Live at Glastonbury

Believe that much of the living Clash members were in the touring band.

Good enough live, but wasn't gonna pay $100+ to see this tour.

EDIT: After 10 songs had to shut it off. For one thing, I may be over Gorillaz. For another, this band wasn't really very tight live. I believe that this was their first gig with a tour to follow, but still. Heading for a delete.
