Scorpions - 9/16/79 Tokyo.

Nice FM recording/broadcsat from the Lovedrive Tour.

VERY stereo recording as Klaus & Rudolf are in my left speaker and Matthias is in the right. Bass & Drums in both. Super cool! :)

EDIT: Great show. That was fun!

"Domo Arigato Tokyo! Sayonara! WE CAN'T GET EEEEE..... NOUGH.... YEAHHHHHH... OHHHH... YEAHHHHH...."

:D:D

What do I follow that with...

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

Finally bought the dvd of U2 "Popmart - Live From Mexico City"

I went to the show from this tour at Camp Randall in 97 and that along with my disdain for the Pop album and the direction that they were heading made me lose interest in U2 for about the next 14 years. Thought the show sucked compared to ZooTV and even though we scored tix from a scalper for almost nothing, thought it wasn't worth it.

Since rediscovering U2 a couple of years ago, I've grown to appreciate this tour and the songs from Pop that made it to the live rotation. I've had an audio copy of this show for some time, so I've heard it, but not seen it.

Real nice dvd and great show. A+

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

mookie picked up 'best of frankie valli & the four seasons'.

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

Okay, so I have a few music DVDs (specifically Bruce Springsteen's Hammersmith Odeon concert, but others as well) that I wish I could have the songs in .mp3 format. Is there a method that's (a) cheap and (b) legal that I can use to rip a quality audio file? I'd rather not have to re-purchase music that I technically already have if possible.

There are dvd audio rip programs out there if you do a search.

I just get mine (mp3s from dvds) from the usual places that others have already ripped and shared.

Eventually, I'll get my own rip program as I've still got a bunch of concert videos that I haven't been able to find.

REO Speedwagon

T.W.O., Nine Lives & You Can Tune a Piano...

On shuffle.

One of my favorite bands from 78-82.

mookie picked up 'best of frankie valli & the four seasons'.

Why, Mookie? Why?

I was wondering the same thing although I'm hesitant to criticize others' choices in music.

Maybe he saw Jersey Boys and wanted to relive it?

Didn't they play this outside of Noriega's house to get him to come out? :D

I will say however that Oh What A Night is an absolute classic from the 70's and I do have that in my 1970's playlist. Frankie's not on that track, btw.

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

Yes, he is. He sings the bridge part, but doesn't do the lead vocal for the verses and chorus.

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

Getting the Led out...

Complete Studio Recordings on shuffle.

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

Dad hated the later Frankie Valli stuff ("ruined his voice"). :D

I'm always at least a month behind anything that goes viral, but these made me smile...

Those started about a month ago, and it's already considered dead. I think it was The Today Show or some other network daily that had the hosts do it. I think it's a terrible "fad."

Eh, if I haven't seen it, it's new to me.

I heard about this thing called "planking" too. Gonna have to check more of that out! :p:o
