Definitely hold out for the 160. It's great and still a little mind-boggling to me that all that music can be carried and accessed so conveniently.

Speaking of Rush...

There's so much 70s awesomeness in this photo. :)

Why's Neal Peart playing such a tiny drum kit?

I thought the same thing. It's from the Hemispheres Tour, so there's no excuse. Maybe the extra guitar necks took up too much room in the semi trailer?

Sugar - Beaster and FU/EL

why I didn't get these in the 90's is way beyond me.

Bob Mould will be playing "Copper Blue" in its entirety this year @ Summerfest w/Jon Wurster (Superchunk) on drums!!!

Be a lot better if he'd play Workbook, or Black Sheets of Rain.

both of those are excellent as well. About a year ago I picked up Black Sheets after years of having not listened to it. tons of great pop songs on there for lack of a better description (it's too late, etc)

Van Halen didn't cancel the shows they've been post-poned and the shows in question were 'add ons' to the orginaly tour schedule anway. Let's face it, these guys are old and need to rest. :) It's ok, I'm going tomorrow night as that has not been cancelled.

btw, love it when the kids (8 and 9) aske me if I have Pearl Jam, Pink Floyd or Green Day in my iTunes (I do) and if I dislike country and Justin Bieber as much as I do (yes, yes, yes).

The Cure Head on the Door is playing right now.

edit - give me Zen Arcade.

While DLR was not as good as he was in 2007, the Van Halen boys were on fire last night. I'd give the show a B+ rating and overall it was well worth the money.

Re: What's on your Playlist? USCHO Music Thread

Listened to Screaming Trees this morning for the first time in maybe 15 years. Okay, but can probably wait another 15 before I do it again.

Now doing Robert Plant - Mighty Rearranger and Dreamland. Just picked these up about a month ago. Haven't been a fan of his (studio) solo stuff other than the most recent Raising Sand and Band of Joy, so never bothered checking these out. Great stuff and quite different from the 80s efforts.

Love discovering stuff that I've missed because if I haven't heard it, it's new to me. :)

Green Day - Awesome As F-u-c-k!

The new Slash/Myles Kennedy collaboration album is pretty good. Not groundbreaking, but you don't buy it expecting some proggy alternative thing, you buy it because it's loaded with good hooks. It's definitely a more cohesive album than his first solo/collaboration effort, and I'd give it a solid B+.

Gotye - Like Drawing Blood

Not from the album I'm hearing, but someone showed me this today...

Pretty frickin' cool.

That is just awesome. I had no idea you could even do that all on a single guitar at the same time.

I've seen it done with two people, 1 using the body for percussion and 1 playing the guitar, but never with 5.

Also - what a great song choice to do this with.

Sufjan Stevens- The Age of Adz

Also been listening to a lot of Ben Folds lately, including Ben Folds Five, Whatever and Ever Amen, Rockin' The Suburbs, and Lonely Avenue (with Nick Hornby).
