I think some courts require you to ask for an amount like "at least $50,000." It keeps lawyers from starting a lawsuit in which they claim a gazillion dollars or something, which the media then immediately reports as, "Disney sued for a gazillion dollars."

Is the award phase separate from the establishment of responsibility? Do you sue for an amount, or do you sue for restitution and then recommend an amount?

Another illusion shattered. There is apparently a body of peer-reviewed research that demonstrates fire drills have no effect on preparedness, safety, or survival. They are theater, like the safety drill before your flying death contraption lurches you up 8 miles into the sky (you won't be using your seat as a floatation device because you will pulverized on impact).
Still, beginning in tenth grade a fire drill was the only way to see a pretty girl all day.

A U.S. Navy aircraft overshot the runway while attempting to land at the Marine Corps Air Station in Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii, and ended up in the water.
There were nine people on board, officials say. No injuries were reported.

Question that I don’t know where else to put, why do we not have a “Report Post” function? On any other forum a multi paragraph long personal attack post would be moderated fairly quickly.

To put it in IT service terms, this board is now effectively in the "Extended Support" phase of the product lifecycle (even that's being generous) and has been since...2020? IIRC, that was about the time the last "upgrade" broke a bunch of stuff that has never been fixed and drove a lot of remaining regulars away.
