"Yarrrrr, 'tis no man, 'tis a remorseless eating machine!"

The article says that this woman hasn't been able to leave the house in 25 years because of her weight. Later, in one of the photo captions, it says that she's 36 years old. Nice parenting!

The article also says her weight is caused by elephantiasis and she has not been able to leave the house because she had a stroke that made her bedridden.

Ha! I wonder if Germans similarly still package up loose rocks as "pieces of the Berlin Wall" for stupid Americans to buy.

EDIT: A quick check of eBay has our answer - "Ja!"

Actually I heard what they tend to use was concrete rubble from any of the old concrete buildings that the Soviets seemed to favor.

It was only in the last 20 years or so that that happened. I was at tUMD when Arne closed the state. tUMD was planning on being open. Just saying.

Same with SCSU. All of my professors were planning on being on campus those two days we closed.

What could possibly go rong?

I have no trouble building a rifle/firing range on campus, but for the competitive shooting team. Waldo in the dorms does not need to riddle paper just to relieve his frustrations.

Falwell, Jr. is nuts, and I'm being charitable. The Board of Trustees should fire his arse, but since he controls the BoT, fuggettaboutit. My youngest son, who is a Liberty grad, is disgusted with the school.

Sounds like a lot of over reaction. There is nothing wrong with a shooting range.

MTU has had a firing range in the basement of the athletic center for many, many years (and prior to that, there was a range in the basement of the ROTC building). Not sure why being the first to be "NRA-approved" is a such a YUUUGE deal.

Agree weapons in dorm rooms is stupid. There should be a secured storage room at the range, accessible only during hours, by request to the range officer on duty.

Louis CK is easily one of my favorite comedians, but I actually turned off his, "Live at the Comedy Store" 15-20 minutes in. Just awful. :(

That's too bad. I recently saw a David Cross one, where he recycled some of his old jokes in different forms. Really hope he was working out a new routine, but I think I was just hoping on that angle.

Maybe Louis was doing the same thing?

We had a safe in Wadsworth to keep them. I always just left my shotgun under the seat of my truck, out of sight.

Fireball sucks azz

I think of it as an old person's liquor, that they drink because they think it makes them cooler and younger. My parents and their friends drink it occasionally, and that's the impression I got.
