WCHA vs tRest

Re: WCHA vs tRest

According to "Boston" College's website...

"Boston" College Mailing Addresses
Main Campus
140 Commonwealth Avenue
Chestnut Hill, MA 02467

:p :p :p :p
I wasn't being sarcastic... lol

You don't think I know what city BC is in?

Besides. I hate myself for getting into this stupid never-ending G.D. argument with people who aren't even from BU, but Conte Forum is in Boston.

Can someone tell me why we're supposed to care that BC isn't in Boston? For the life of me I can't find the insult. And it's driven me insane over the last 4 years.

Because Chestnut Hill should be credited with four of Boston's ten national championships.

Re: WCHA vs tRest

You'd have to look at an entire conference to talk about the overall outcome of a season for a team. If BC is playing against lesser teams all season, chances are they probably aren't going to be as worn down at the end of the year. Now, if you're playing in the WCHA (this is hypothetical, I don't really care which conference is better, and I'm pretty sure siouxinseattle or whatever didn't create it to start a shouting match) and the last ranked team in your conference is as good as the 4th ranked team in the Hockey East, you may be more apt to have injuries, fatigue, etc. to deal with at the end of the year. So yeah, I think you have to run through EVERY team in a conference to really get a sense of which conference is better.

:D

Re: WCHA vs tRest

So basically, this is a way to justify the WCHA being superior no matter how much their teams fall on their face come March and April?

using that guys logic, that means eastern hockey is obviously tougher than western hockey since the western teams historically have more championships!

Re: WCHA vs tRest

Yay for Chestnut Hill?

But why is it *bad* for BC?
Because pages ago you said that the city of Boston should be credited with xx national championships in some vain attempt to win a useless argument ... so the Chestnut Hill post was to refute that vain attempt to win a useless argument with another vain attempt to win the same useless argument.

Only they're right. You started it with the city thing.

Re: WCHA vs tRest

So, it's just been in the last four years? It seemed so much longer than that.

I wasn't trying to win anything.

I WAS refuting his claim though.

One thing I do feel strongly about though is that from now on BC should be "B"C or CHC and Boston College should now be "Boston" College or Chestnut Hill College.

I'm very uncomfortable with misrepresentations and I move that the USCHO populace adopt this immediately.

It's truly a historic day, previously the anti-BC "not in Boston!111" butthurt only came from clowns at BU, Northeastern and UMass, but BC has whooped up on the rest of the NCAA so much that now we see crap like this from out west, too.

Awesome.

No, winning a couple championships has brought too much attention to your fanbase, so now the rest of the country is starting realize how huge of dooshes BC fans are. Instead of only Hockey East fans.

Re: WCHA vs tRest

Riiiight.

The most amusing part of these "Boston" posts is that they were all started by a BU fan, who made that list of "titles by city."

It's a silly list, although technically correct since both Harvard and BC play their hockey in the city of Boston, despite the lions' share of their respective campuses being one town over.

That said, I'm guessing DaveStPaul posted it as a joke more than anything.
