What are the approximate prices and structure of the final faceoff tickets?
I don't expect it to be too different than last year.

Student (with valid ID from any WCHA women’s institution): $10

Single-Session
Adult: $12 / Youth (12 and under): $8

Group (10 or more) – Valid for single-sessions only
Adult: $10 / Youth (12 and under): $6
Student (with valid ID from any WCHA women’s institution): $4

Thanks. That seems like the most plausible chance I have for a road trip this year, other than going to Minneapolis a few weeks before for the last road series of the year.

Re: WCHA Thread V

Get the conference schedule rolling:

Minnesota-Duluth @ Bemidji State

North Dakota @ Minnesota State

St. Cloud State @ Minnesota

Ohio State @ Wisconsin

Re: WCHA Thread V

I just got an email from the Gopher Ticket Office about the WCHA Final Faceoff. Prices are a tad bit steeper than last year...

-- All-Session Reserved Chairback - $35
-- All-Session Adult General Admission (bench) - $25
-- All-Session Student/Youth/Senior General Admission (bench) - $20

The wording of the email doesn't clearly specify when tickets go on sale to the general public. There is a pre-sale for Gopher season ticket holders to reserve their season ticket seats, and they can purchase additional tickets or tickets in a different location after that. I don't know know if that timing for the additional and/or different seat sale aligns to the general public sale.

Single game prices were not given, with the note that those tickets will not go on sale until later, pending availability.

Re: WCHA Thread V

And what was the most impressive win so far?

the fact that all three losses were to teams that made the NCAA tournament,
and that the last place team in the WCHA last year beat one of those teams the following night,
so I guess MSU's victory over RIT would qualify as the most impressive

so what was Hockey Easy's most impressive victory last week? ECAC? CHA?

A split with the scrappy, last place, no scholarship RIT team? You are probably correct.

East-west, I would take the Robert Morris road win.

Re: WCHA Thread V

Annie Pankowski has 6 goals in 10 SOG so far this season.

Pretty dang good, but not as crazy as Minnesota scoring 8 times in 10 shots in the second period yesterday!

This week in the WCHA:

North Dakota @ Bemidji State: Top 10 Battle

Minnesota @ Ohio State: Points for Potter?

Wisconsin @ St. Cloud State: Huskies run it up in the 3rd?

Minnesota State @ Minnesota-Duluth: New era of friendly competition?

A battle of two evenly matched teams should result in a very interesting series, one with significant implications for each team. I see a split as the most likely outcome. Over/Under for total goals scored in each game is something like 2.5.

Minnesota @ Ohio State: Points for Potter?
Can OSU really be down as much as last week's results vs. Wisconsin would indicate? Or can Potter right the ship enough to produce a more respectable showing against the nation's No. 1 team? The easy prediction is for the Buckeyes to show some improvement at home, that they will do a better job defensively and keep the scores down, but not enough to cast the outcome of either game in doubt. Gophers sweep, with average scores of something like 5-1.

Wisconsin @ St. Cloud State: Huskies run it up in the 3rd?
Coming off their two lopsided defeats to the Gophers, this will be a real character test for the Huskies. Similar to the OSU/MN series, the scores will be closer, but not nearly close enough to produce a win for the home team. Bucky wins by approximately 4-6 goals in each game.

Minnesota State @ Minnesota-Duluth: New era of friendly competition?
I'm not sure about friendly, but this series looks to be more competitive than probably most expect. The improved Mavs will be motivated to take at least one in Duluth, and I won't be surprised if they do. I'll go with a series split, with both games being decided by two goals or less.

OSU and SCSU will not improve that much from last week to give UM and UW too much resistance. I think UM and UW will score 25 goals or more combined this weekend (provided UM decides to shoot at goal in the 3rd period ;) ) and allow 2 or less combined.

FYI OSU did beat ARD clean in the 1st period Saturday but clanged the crossbar.

The Sue/Beavers series is fascinating. I wouldn't mind watching one of those games.
