Nice - 17-3-3 out of conference record to begin the season is not bad!
And what was the most impressive win so far?
the fact that all three losses were to teams that made the NCAA tournament,
and that the last place team in the WCHA last year beat one of those teams the following night,
so I guess MSU's victory over RIT would qualify as the most impressive
so what was Hockey Easy's most impressive victory last week? ECAC? CHA?
A split with the scrappy, last place, no scholarship RIT team? You are probably correct.
East-west, I would take the Robert Morris road tie.
A battle of two evenly matched teams should result in a very interesting series, one with significant implications for each team. I see a split as the most likely outcome. Over/Under for total goals scored in each game is something like 2.5.This week in the WCHA:
North Dakota @ Bemidji State: Top 10 Battle
Can OSU really be down as much as last week's results vs. Wisconsin would indicate? Or can Potter right the ship enough to produce a more respectable showing against the nation's No. 1 team? The easy prediction is for the Buckeyes to show some improvement at home, that they will do a better job defensively and keep the scores down, but not enough to cast the outcome of either game in doubt. Gophers sweep, with average scores of something like 5-1.Minnesota @ Ohio State: Points for Potter?
Coming off their two lopsided defeats to the Gophers, this will be a real character test for the Huskies. Similar to the OSU/MN series, the scores will be closer, but not nearly close enough to produce a win for the home team. Bucky wins by approximately 4-6 goals in each game.Wisconsin @ St. Cloud State: Huskies run it up in the 3rd?
I'm not sure about friendly, but this series looks to be more competitive than probably most expect. The improved Mavs will be motivated to take at least one in Duluth, and I won't be surprised if they do. I'll go with a series split, with both games being decided by two goals or less.Minnesota State @ Minnesota-Duluth: New era of friendly competition?

That's my Bold Prediction series for the week and the only discrepancy between D2D's picks and mine. The Sue/Beavers series is fascinating. I wouldn't mind watching one of those games.
Not likely in that Saturday's game will be played The Ralph! That's my Bold Prediction series for the week and the only discrepancy between D2D's picks and mine.
Beavers Sweep at Sanford!
