Just blame computers. They're behind most of the errors in our world, even if we can't always prove it. Things like this didn't happen back in the days when we just posted notices on the bulletin board at the arena (or maybe they did). But yeah, a vacation is always a good idea.I need a vacation
Part of that was St Cloud was outscored 29-2 vs UM.
There is no way I can see UW losing a game this weekend to Mankato. The Mavericks were just in Madison 2 weeks ago and lost by a combined score of 12-1. Wisconsin is coming off another very competitive weekend against Minnesota where they were beaten twice! They will be very determined this weekend to not only win but, to win at home in dominant fashion.
The final three games between UM and MSU were one-goal games, and in the last of these, the Gophers were playing well and still trailed late. They didn't have Brandt, and Kessel hadn't rejoined, but still. The Mavericks improved quite a bit from their first games.Mankato gave the rodents a little resistance and they tied UND.

A little sandbagging goes with the territory, but wow.Mankato is peaking at the right time as they've come to grips with Harrington's approach, I could see them eeking out a 2-1 win. UM will destroy OSU.

The current playoff format has been in place for 9 years. Over that period of time, the #1 seed is 18-0 in the first round. #8 has never come closer than 3 goals in ANY of those games. But poor UW got the tough draw against a juggernaut with an 0-25-3 conference record.
As for the series in Minneapolis, the Gophers have a ton of firepower and could post big numbers. It is a discouraging possibility for a team looking to pull a major upset. And yes, if based only on last October, the "destroy" prediction might make some sense. But the Buckeyes were competitive against both the Gophers and Badgers after the break. OSU swept the season series against the club that's supposedly making you nervous.
Not buying it.
Didn't say you were crazy, and I certainly don't think so. I do believe that you're much too pessimistic about the Badger's chances. And I still suspect that some portion of that pessimism is posturing.Just read below, I'm not entirely crazy. I'd love nothing more than a couple 7-0 butt whippings. The odds are slim, but you never know, though your stats are interesting. The bottom of the wcha has come along way over the years and the gap has narrowed considerably, so the stats are a little skewed.
More wisdom here than first meets the eye!But hey, we're talking about predictions here. Nothing wrong with disagreeing on predictions.

This weekend's results from Madison fit in very nicely with the historical pattern, and the ARM/D2D prediction....I'll go with what ARM postulated earlier: "MSU has exactly 120 minutes remaining in its season." I would give very good odds to anyone "disagreeing on this prediction".

Just sayin'.
Looser defensively, but a bit more productive offensively? Perhaps there's a connection? And note that even had the Mavs gone 3 for 3 on the great chances, you're still at a 6-3 score -- the 3 goal cushion that history suggested. Anyhow, more than enough said.Yeah, yeah, yeah.....UW did play way loser defensively Saturday after a flawless Friday but Mankato's 3 great chances were thwarted.

I don't doubt it!A 6-3 score would have made my head explode. UW generated more chances in the tighter D played game Friday, FWIW.
Copying from the Badger thread...Aren't the WCHA Final Face Off games streamed for free every year?
Can't find the link(s) on their site unless it's going to be made available at the last minute which seems to ring a bell.
The UM-UND preview on GopherSports.com implies that there will be free online video for all three games.
