I'm glad we're in, if we're a speed bump. I just want us to do our best, get the experience, get ready for 2015-16 and continue to take the next step.

I'd like for UAH to retain 8th place/7th seed so we can at least say we qualified without Alaska's ineligibility. ;) Although, Michigan Tech probably benefits more from Alaska's ineligibility than UAH or Lake Superior. If Alaska wasn't ineligible, Michigan Tech would likely be hosting Ferris State (and CJ Motte) instead of UAH or Lake Superior. I'd still favor Tech, but it certainly would have been more interesting.

Hence the #TankForTootsieRolls. :D

I do want the 'Cats to win though. A win against a top team in the PWR would do well for their attitude.

On the flip side, there are years and years of history of BGSU eliminating the 'Cats from the CCHA tournament and causing the PWR to fall below the top 16-ish... I would LOVE to put a thumping on BGSU and cause the same heartache.

Then it would have been Minnesota State playing Ferris State instead of UAH/Lake Superior. The point is No. 2 seed is benefiting from Alaska's ineligibility.

Pierce was the one who asked for the photo. He skated over in warm ups to pose for it, and kept looking back at the bench to make sure his coaches weren't watching. The instant he saw my sign he was in tears from laughing. His teammates loved it too.

Carmine was an even better sport. During the first media timeout, he agreed to take a picture with us (we made a sign of his Tinder profile) after the game, and still came out of the locker room for the pic, despite being pulled and POed.

I was thinking about that earlier today. I'd much rather play Ferris and send you out to Bemidji than relive the debacle from 2 weeks ago.

However, last year, Tech swept us at home in February, then came back for the playoffs, where we swept them. So that gives me hope, sort of.

Mark Evans seems to think that it's not a bad idea... :p (just stated so on the TV6 broadcast).


Obviously I'm not advocating for it, I don't want any more L's rung up on the season. The 'Cats need W's, because now (almost) every game through April 11th is an elimination game.

Congrats to the Mavs! what a great years run you had. we almost caught you. take care of that pretty trophy, we are coming for it next year!

Congrats to the Mavs. Tech did not deserve it this year, but next year they will bring Big Jim's Cup home.
