Way To Early 2022 NCAA Field

Yes and as Utica fans we are aware of the deal as well. It still doesn't make it fair and just. Because "Point knows the deal and they don't want anything handed to them" isn't a realistic answer.

Point loses to Scholastica (39) and Superior (34), Trinity loses to Conn College (65), Amherst (45) and Hamilton (37) twice, Colby loses to Amherst (45), Hamilton (37), Williams (38).

How is that a level playing field?

Because the NESCAC champion will have won their conference AQ. Even Point fans agree.

All these teams knew the deal and agreed to it before the season began. Every team had a route to be National champion in October.

It seems to be basically two fans of a program that has won one single NCAA tournament game in their entire history that have trouble grasping this.

Get over it. Anyone ever tell you that not everything in life is fair?

You just proved my point. It isn't a level playing field and that is what Fish is advocating for.

I understand the process, Utica has been burned before by this, and it is what it is. Not sure what the shot at Utica is for, seems petty. There were more people here barking about it when it was the ECAC W that didn't have an AQ. It has gotten better.

Possibly because of your repeated shots at 5 time National champs SNC?

Dealing with adversity that you don’t think is necessarily fair is a good life lesson for college aged kids… really, a good lesson for some to learn at any age.

I guess I do get a little defensive about my alma mater. I’m super proud of the season they’ve had this year after being the only NCHA team to opt out of last season.

Out of the 79 DIII schools playing men's hockey (83 if you count independents), only 1 seems to have a problem? Even Adrian (in it's early years)didn't have this much of a problem with the selection process. Everyone knows what it is, and every school develops their program to have the best outcome within the framework of the rules set by the conferences, and the NCAA. No conference is required to have a post season conference tournament. If you want those tournaments removed, get your league to do the paperwork required, and every coach will change their philosophy to adapt. Right now, they all work to peak in February and March, not October and November.

And games with St Norbert are always a big deal, and were always fun to watch. Heck I've even been to the Cornerstone for a regular season game (a number of years ago now).

Regular season games at the CCC are admittedly not all that lively these days.

Yes because you are in the locker rooms and coaches office and know what is being said. Go take a poll of the Stevens Point locker room after they win the conference and don’t make the tournament. 100% of them will say its stupid and a flawed process

Never took a shot at St Norbert. I took a shot at you and Sir Nubs because you two sit on an imaginary pedistal and sound silly

Did Fish ever take you up on your offer to meet for lunch and talk face to face about his tendencies to personally call out Utica kids online after a loss?

You two seem pretty tight these days…

For the record, I did not win a championship at SNC. After this season maybe you and Fish can tell me what the view is like from the top of the mountain?

I didn’t realize you had such a locker room in, especially at Point

Unfortunately, no. But he hasn't took a shot at any individuals since then, has he? Someone had to put him in his place.....

Dude, I was always wondering at what point would other Utica fans call him out.

At the end of the day we are all D3 hockey fans. Pretty obscure stuff…

Even though the board has become the road less traveled, it's supposed to be fun....right?
I never really got the name-calling and vitriol, although I'm thinking about renaming "geneseo", "Gen Psaki".
Kidding of course.....

You are projecting again. The only pedestal being sat upon is by you and Fish proclaiming Utica as a perennial national power based on no evidence other than one NCAA Tournament win. One. Which is one win less than a .500 Colby team won in the 2018 tournament alone when they got in by winning the NESCAC tournament as a low seed.

Pretty much the same bracket as before, but there's some interesting scenarios we could see play out with the right results (Oswego winning the SUNYAC, Endicott winning the CCC, UW-Stevens Point winning the WIAC and Wilkes losing the UCHC), so there's still a lot that can happen that can change this bracket.

CCC: UNE (9)
MASCAC: Plymouth State (19)
MIAC: Augsburg (2)
NCHA: Adrian (1)
NEHC: Babson (6)
NESCAC: Colby (18)
SUNYAC: Geneseo (4)
UCHC: Utica (3)

At Large:
St. Norbert (5)
Hobart (7)
Elmira (8)
Wilkes (10)

Round 1:
Wilkes @ Elmira
UNE @ Hobart
Plymouth State @ Geneseo
Colby @ Babson

QF:
Wilkes/Elmira @ Adrian
St. Norbert @ Augsburg
Colby/Babson @ Plymouth State/Geneseo
UNE/Hobart @ Utica

OUTSIDE LOOKING IN:
UW-Stevens Point (11)
Oswego (12)
Endicott (13)

An SNC/Augsburg matchup would make five straight tournaments with those two squaring off. It would be the first of those five at Augsburg. The four previous matchups have gone to SNC, with two of those being OT thrillers.

Anyone know the math on weather Hobart's and Elmira's loses Might be enough to give UWSP a chance to make it if they win their Championship?
