If BU fans did this, they would be incessantly ridiculed.

Re: UVM - BU Friday de facto Score Update

BU led 3-0. UVM scored with 13 left to go in the third. 2 Cat goals within 35 seconds or so.

3-3 Final

3-0 lead, 3rd period in one of (of a bunch) that you need to have any chance at an at large bid and they still can't stay focused to close it out??

I imagine the tie doesn't kill them...but just about kills any faith in them focusing for a run

Re: Vermont at Boston University 2/25 and 26

Talk about a game not of inches but of 1 inch.

BU's second goal was at best 1/2 inch over the line and if Lenz shot in OT is 1/2 inch to the left VT would have won.

Great rally and a huge point that really puts Prov in a must win tommorrow.

Have to love the heart these guys are showing as they could have let it get out of hand after the 3rd BU goal..

Most goals hit either the post or goalie on the way in. You could change the results of every game played tonight if you started moving shots 1/2" this way or that. It's a waste of energy.

Re: Vermont at Boston University 2/25 and 26

Considering that two of the BU goals barely made it across the goal line, I wonder if Scott Weighart will write an article about how lucky BU was to even get a point tonight. Those only count as half goals... just like the ones that go off your own team in the Beanpot!

Cheer up UVM fans, you guys were just unlucky tonight!

We were lucky because whoever that UVM player was missed a 3/4 open net and hit the post... Didn't deserve any points tonight, absolutely pathetic.

That's a makeup for Chiasson hitting the post on an open net in last year's game at HAA with 3 seconds left in either OT or regulation, forgot, that would've broken the tie and won the game. Basically the same scenario as tonight.

Re: Vermont at Boston University 2/25 and 26

Ya, not too often you see a team lucky to get one point when they had a 3-0 third period lead...

The "..." suggests you're being sarcastic but you're right that it's not too often you see it, and you'd be right to think that's exactly what happened at Agganis tonight... last night... whatever you want to call it.

Re: Vermont at Boston University 2/25 and 26

I read all of them. You're long-winded and still can't get a simple point across.

It was two sentences and one of them had 4 words in it. Get a dictionary or go to Kaplan...other than that I can't help it if you can't read.

Re: Vermont at Boston University 2/25 and 26

Great game played by both teams. BU really showed a lot of jump especially the second period. UVM was skating hard, but BU matched/exceed it for most of the game. Have to admit, I packed it in after BU went up 3-0. Great job by UVM to stick with it and get the point. The way the standing are shaping up that point could be huge.
