I don't believe UWS can afford Fred Harbinson, and with all due respect to the town of Superior, which I've only been to 3-4 times, Penticton where I have been and have no idea how many times, is a little more appealing...especially during Peach Fest when the beaches are filled with Bikinis. Even old duffs like me can still enjoy just watching! :)

i believe superior is named after a pretty big lake, and they have swimsuits in superior, just give the job to someone

Explain if you would? There are two guys on the list of candidates who have taken their names off the list to try for an assistant job on the women's UMD team, or as very well could be the position of most women... it will take two guys from a list of men to replace one gal? :)

Troy Ward interviewed today, Esse, Jani Hassi and not sure of the other individual invited in for interviews.

would be troys 17th job in 25 years, stick with a commited alumni, i think he had the new praque job for 2 days

I had never heard of him, so I did the same. Older fellow with primary experience in high school and women's hockey. No Junior or D-I experience, and not a lot of playing experience, but he is from the area. Hopefully for UWS he can learn the recruiting game quickly if he is their choice.

Not sure where some of you are getting your information but, from what I've been told, Peart wasn't granted a phone interview. Definitely not a finalist. The three remaining candidates that came to campus are Dave Esse, Janne Kivilhalme, and Rich McKenna. McKenna is currently the head coach of the NAHL's New Jersey Titans. Troy Ward was the other finalist but pulled his name last weekend before coming to campus. My best guess is it will probably be Esse. I'm confident that would probably be the most popular choice for the majority of the hockey alumns with Janne being a solid number 2. Although, considering the current salary being offered and, the fact Dave has been teaching in the Cloquet school district for almost 20 years, it would probably be a pretty decent pay cut for him and it's certainly possible he could turn it down (thus the possibility of a "surprise choice").

peart did get a phone interview, he has lots of experience so YOUR information is wrong, he is still in the hunt,
