UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

Wow … I come back from a couple of days away and this thread finally blew up. Fun.

Should be a very interesting series as it means a ton to both teams. Both teams I think are probably disappointed in where they stand (and I know Lowell should be). Now it's the last chance for the seniors to leave that legacy they all talked about early in the season. Put up or shut up time boys.

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

unlike vermont fans, many lowell fans have important things going on in their lives. from now on we promise more 3 a.m. posting about how stupid and ugly you all are (very)

I'm sure you can spare a little time from drooling over the newest Victoria Secret catalog to enlighten us with your thoughts and predictions?

How many UVM fans driving down, any idea? BTW, if you bring JCarter, you've gotta promise to bring him back.

Why would anyone stay in Lowell? I would rather be tied naked and doused with water in the middle of main street in January.

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

well... good thing you volunteered... that is going to be so much fun. :D

I suppose you think that just because Vermont approved marriage for you kind that such a comment is acceptable but, you thinking that me standing naked doused in water will be fun is offensive to myself as well as many others.

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

jcarter will be going back to Vermont...... in two pieces.

Is that a threat of somekind because I am pretty sure that would be a reportable offense? Or are you trying to make a joke because its spring break and you got your beer muscles on?

Funny thing is nobody would notice. :p

But all kidding aside that could be very dangerous, given the amount of broken crack vials that litter your average Lowell street.

Well if you could get UML to throw them in the trash when he is done then it wouldn't be a problem.

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

Eating lunch and enjoying typical Lowell-UVM banter go on like the Energizer bunny I decided to take a break from the name calling and post the matchup I'm looking forward to seeing tonight.

Carter Hutton vs. Rob Madore

Ripped from USCHO.com

Rk Name GP W-L- MIN GA SV SV% GA

3 Carter Hutton, Sr, Mass.-Lowell 16 7-8-1 947:53 39 439 .918 2.4687
4 Rob Madore, So, Vermont 22 7-8-6 1289:08 58 547 .904 2.6995

Save the BC "tandem" of Milner/Muse (who are 1/2) (this is ranked by save pct.) they are far and away amongst the best goalies in the league. While Madore has played a lot more than Hutton (by necessity due to the Spillane injury), I've noted that there W-L record at 7-8 are identical. Madore sees about 27-28 shots per game while Hutton is seeing a hair under 30

Which leads me to wonder...who does it really favor if it's a defensive struggle or a run and gun game against two of the better goalies in the league. Arguments can be made on both sides.

My point in all of this....would not be surprised to see both games again go to OT, and of the games to end in a tie.

Oh, to reminisce about Lost Lives in Lowell: High on Crack Street was so 15 years ago, this post was an attempt to be somewhat original :D

Don't worry jcarter that wasn't a threat. I was just thinking if people knew you were here that's what would happen. On a serious note I hope any UVM fans that make the trip down enjoy themselves in our little old city. there a lot to like about Lowell!

Re: UVM at Lowell 3/5 & 3/6

I'm bringing along 3 extra people tonight so am hoping for a big, lively crowd. Hope to get up to Lowell around 5:30-6:00.

Hopefully that crack house on Fletcher St is still operating

They have hookers in Lowell ?? Hmmm, maybe I will stay for a few days......

They do. But as I said they are quite skanky so I'd recommned taking a few hits of the local product before you service them. But then again being a Vermonter some of these girls would be considered a "10" in your state.
