Save the BC "tandem" of Milner/Muse (who are 1/2) (this is ranked by save pct.) they are far and away amongst the best goalies in the league. While Madore has played a lot more than Hutton (by necessity due to the Spillane injury), I've noted that there W-L record at 7-8 are identical. Madore sees about 27-28 shots per game while Hutton is seeing a hair under 30

Which leads me to wonder...who does it really favor if it's a defensive struggle or a run and gun game against two of the better goalies in the league. Arguments can be made on both sides.

My point in all of this....would not be surprised to see both games again go to OT, and of the games to end in a tie.

Oh, to reminisce about Lost Lives in Lowell: High on Crack Street was so 15 years ago, this post was an attempt to be somewhat original :D

Even game right up unitl McCarthy's bad drop pass(at the blue line) and Lowell had the better from then on. Powerless play was not much help despite all the chances.

Go BU and Maine tomorrow!!

Lowell has a very late arriving crowd. During the anthem the place looked half full at best. Halfway through the first it was packed. Attendance was over 5K.

Milo would have helped that sorry performance tonight, eh? Sneddon wil probably kick someone off the team before the playoffs just for the three game boost it seems to bring. Assuming, of course that Vermont makes the playoffs.

Thanks for pulling Madore with four to go, Sneddon. You absolute clown.

So after one loss, you think that a team that 3 points behind you in the standings, ranked higher in the polls and 6 places higher in the PWR is now bad??? Doesn't say a lot about you team??

Nope, insults regarding sexual orientation would be considered a hate crime and Obama has deemed that bad, very bad. I was insulting him for other reasons that I am sure you can figure out if you give it a little bit of thought.

How about the fact that UVM needs to win or else their season is over? Yeah, you're bad. Fact. Science.

Getting away from the smack talk ... I believe, and I could be wrong, but if UVM doesn't make the HE playoffs, their PWR ranking won't matter, they won't make the NCAAs. Does anyone know of a situation where a team made the NCAAs without having made their league's tournament? Which could make this even more of a vital game for the Cats.

I looked at the PWR... UVM wasn't affected last night but their situation is rather perilous. I wouldn't take this as gospel but i think if UVM loses tonight their season is entirely over because of losing the pair to Lowell and the TUC hit it'll create in general.

Lowell should treat this like an elimination game because that's what it looks like for Vermont.
