UVM is eight times more like to miss the playoffs than lowell, but i agree that amherst is the odd team out

Amherst or Northeastern or BU . I think MC makes it and if UVM gets 2 they are in for sure. Get 1 and they might make it...

The way they are playing I don't see UMA taking another point this season......and they need a mnimum of 2 to make it. UMA is the odd man out. Given UVM's 4-0-0 record at UML over the past several years and the evenness of the teams this year, I don't see UVM going pointless this weekend either. I think a split is very likely and a sweep by MC is pretty likely too. In that scenario MC gets home ice and both UVM and UML are on the road for QF's.

Actually, that scenario gives UML home ice pending the results of the BU/NU games. Merrimack is 2 pts behind UML, but UML holds the tiebreaker. A UML/UVM split and a MC sweep means MC and UML are tied with UVM 1 point back.

Merrimack wont get Home ice unless BU/NE split as they are also behind them right now.

Right, but I am going off :

MC sweep of PC
BU split with NU
UVM split with UML
ME sweeps UMA


Which I think is the most likely scenario.

I was unaware however that UML held a tie breaker over MC.
But the number of scenario's at the moment are absurd.

Say MC/PC split
BU/NU split
ME sweeps or splits with UMA
UVM takes 3 of 4 points from UML ( remember they are 4-0-0 at UML ).

This scenario isn't as likely as the first but not unreasonable.

It's so tight in the standings.

I just figured since Vermont will be playing only two more games this season that would give the teams who play more games in conference tourneys a good shot of jumping over Vermont in the rankings.

Umass played a strong game at bc. I don't see them getting swept at maine

And uvm being 4 and 0 at tsongas in the last 4 does not mean crap either

I wishthey had these games on the board in vegas

Any news on stacey for uvm?

How about who is out for UML?

i think who ever has to to play VT has hands full , with that said , to sweep in someone elce's building is very difficult especialy with so much at stake. I would look for a split at worst, vermont should have swept unh , they came away with only 1 point but clearly out played them . Bu always gets better around beanpot time and to sweep them is most impresive. VT is clearly peaking at the appropriate time .
