sadly belive crickets are going to be what we hear from AD schulman and no move will be made! highly concernd that they have gotten two new players as recruits in last 3 days - Sneddon likely operating on no fear of job loss confirming all worst fears so are these quebequois that he trashed as not being talented or not wanting to go to college 5 years ago now going to save the program? fat chance!!

There's no way Sneddon's going anywhere with a year left on his contract. UVM would be pleased as punch to have a nationally competitive hockey team if one happens to fall in their lap, but they're not going to do anything proactive to make that happen. Unfortunately, that's just the way it is and I've lowered my expectations accordingly. You should try it -- it's better than having hope and being disappointed.

Dr. Suresh Garimella? I'd say there's a better chance he'll form a cricket team than support ice hockey.

Sir i do not believe your first statement to be true! i am sure I read in Burlington Free Press.com that UVM has fired a coach with years on contract which includes women's hoop. If we are to believe the facts of before where AD Schulman says never to let coach be on a final year of deal so this is truly the put ups or Shut Up! time for AD Schulman! He makes extension which I am sad to say it is my worst fear then he will have collapse program completely and left it like bleeding deer corpse to the side of 89.
I sir Will not contend or agree with your other points with respect...it is absolutely shameful to allow this level of bad results to continue and the hope is that everyone give up to not notice! I have stopped supporting iwth my wallet but I will not give up the expectations that to have a team the team must compete and show pride for the school and the sweater! I don't believe people accepted the way things are just gave up because it was easy I do not have much say but my voice here will be LOUD AND CLEAR ALWAYS!

Admittedly, probably not my finest post, but racist, no. The statement was insensitive (yes), politically incorrect (yes), based on a stereotype (definitely). But if you consider it racist, then you also have to consider a show like The Office blatantly racist -- see Michael Scott's insensitive, stereotypical comments directed at Indian character Kelly Kapoor. I know that doesn't make it right, but it was my feeble attempt at humor and the somewhat sorry state of the UVM hockey program. I feel bad and I apologize! I will do better.

Yes, much deserved. Probably not many people remember he was also the golf coach. I played briefly in the mid 80's and he was the coach.

small business owner sir! And yes...to people who DESERVE it or other who come here to trash the passion of those who want a change! He knows who he is Mr Commo! Sad! People often say i stick to my guns to much but I am a passionate man of conviction. Sneddon paid the big bucks he can deal with me and many others wanting him to be relieve of leadership duties! A Harvard man will be fine in his life after his hopeful dismissal! I believe you honest and true are a great fan of the program from what I read i respectful disagree with your points on what shape the hockey team is in and what is to be done!

With the exception of the reference to Mr. Commo, this is one of your better posts. And I happen to agree with you, Sneddon needs to go. Thought I've actually been pretty vocal about that on here. Maybe you were confused because I do think the team went through a stretch recently where they were playing decent hockey and looked semi-legit. That said, if things don't improve and they keep extending Sneddon, I'm going to turn in my UVM fan card. Actually, I've been heading in that direction already with periods of extreme apathy and indifference this season. Next season will be interesting because it's another final-year-of-contract year for Sneddon. Hopefully, if circumstances warrant, Schulman and the school will do what's needed.

Maybe you were confused because I do think the team went through a stretch recently where they were playing decent hockey and looked semi-legit.

Seriously? 5-1 loss to UConn? I was mistaken, the team really does suck. Didn't see any of it, but have to believe the players and coaches mailed this one in!

Nothing I saw tells me that they ALL mailed it in. Maybe some. And they certainly didn't play well as a team. But, there were at least SOME competitors on that ice. Maybe they felt abandoned. Hope not, because there is one more left. There needs to be some reckoning in the locker room this week.

I'm going because there are players on this team worth watching. The collective has been frustrating. For whatever reason.
