Great start from the freshman class 17g & 35a
The only place that you could say they have underachieved is the scoring of the upperclassmen which can be partly blamed by the loss
of the first 4 games but also fault of the players themselves,
Several big wins so far 4-5-1 versus currently ranked teams and Michigan/Northeastern as well.
13 games to go I would think 7-8 wins gets VT into the tourney and 16 of 26 points gets the Cats home ice.

Nice win last night. A little ruff in the third but decent play in my opinion over all. How long has Bunyon been reffing? You wouldn't know it watching last night. Tough to get a good view as the live feed does not do replays. What gets me throughout the league is they call the ticky tac borderline penalties then fail to make the obvious calls and then wonder why the games get chippy....

I agree, nice win. This team has already matched its league wins from a year ago and we're not even halfway through the HE schedule. They've positioned themselves nicely for post-season so far. Hopefully they can keep it up. Go Cats!

His last name is pronounced "JEE-awsh-vee-lee," roughly. Джиошвили in Russian, the cluster Дж makes a sound similar to the g's in "Georgia". His brother Maxim plays in the Vityaz Podolsk system and played 4 games in the KHL this season.
...I'm a Russian minor and close follower of all things Russian hockey =P

Den was definitely the right choice. Might've stop supporting UVM if they had called it The Ice Box.
Excited that we are entering the stretch run in Hockey East. This team really has a shot to make the tourney. Lekkas needs to keep it going (his save percentage is coming down to earth lately) and the PK seems to be having some problems. Great to see the balanced scoring and the freshman producing.
Is the coaching staff looking to add another D for next year? Seems like they only have 5 returning, plus Owen Grant coming. I would think that you'd want 8 D on your roster. It just seems strange that we could come in the year with 30 players and end up paper thin at a position.
