Utica University 2024-25 - Retooled and Reloaded

This should come as no shock to anyone who knows how Heenan operates. It's amazing his program hasn't come under investigation before.
The jealousy reaks. If this imbecile really thinks a head coach would pocket money to have his kid on the team I don’t know what to tell you. Extremely irresponsible reporting to even suggest that.

Hopefully this does blow over. Not a Heenan fan, but D3 hockey doesn't need this. This father alleged in this has been accused (and convicted) of several nefarious acts in Aspen, CO and Whitefish, MT.

Shared the article with a number of D3 coaches who where approached by the Grit and parent of the player. One coach of a respected program responded "the kid is not very good, but if you needed a new locker room or rink it was something to think about." Makes you wonder what new campus building is going to be built at Utica in the future?

(Gotta love the Mom's-basement-dwelling career-trolls posing as "new members" for the sake of a cheap shot...)

Anyway. this is all speculation, hearsay and/or just plain bullshit right now.

Having said that, pay-for-play is what college sports do now. If NIL is OK, why shouldn't this be OK? We're not in Kansas anymore.

They joined four years ago. Hardly “new”.
