The women postponed because the MEN's game moved in and took the 1 pm slot, meaning they couldn't go at 2. Most likely their opponent Salve decided they weren't interested in coming later.

I'm sure the Manhattanville and Hobart men's teams are glad to know you think they are sissies.

Another nice, albeit easy win for the Pioneers tonight. After the intense Hobart games last weekend, this one was somewhat of a bore in comparison. UC did come to play and showed no signs of a letdown in what could have been a trap game. Win out and hope Hobart loses 1 to grab the regular season title and home ice advantage throughout conf. playoffs.

It was kinda boring... I really don't enjoy a rout the way I used to.

The Naz goalie (#40, I forget his name) was fun to watch. He got no help whatsoever from his D, but stood on his head half the night to keep the score reasonable. I think he's going to be a good one, once the team in front of him matures a bit... Naz has 15-20 Freshmen on the roster; I expect them to be a contender in a couple of years.

(And while I know I shouldn't feed the trolls, do you cretins to which I refer really need to see an inserted smiley-face every time someone makes a little joke, or can you possibly figure it out for yourselves..? If any of you are >12 years of age, you certainly hide it well.)

Nice to see you got your trolling motor fixed, there isn't anything much worse than a fishman without his trolling motor. Hope your shanty stays warm today.

You know that you have managed to offend most of the well-respected posters on this board with your constant comments like this. I'm usually pretty calm and try to be reasonable, but you have gotten under my very thick skin (developed after 35+ years of teaching)

Not to add fuel to the fire though it we be interesting to know if for your margin of area calculation if your sample size is the number of games played or the number teams in the field or some combination of the two?

Based on the number of games played by each team. I've estimated it as

100/Sqrt(games team1 + games team 2)

This is a margin of error for the comparison between any two teams. My scale is normalized so that the standard deviation of the rating value for each team is 100. I will (for those who are interested) expound more about this on the other site when we are in an off-season mode.

Having said that, there should be a lively discussion on the rankings thread this week. The four best teams are pretty-much in a dead heat right now, and a reasonable argument can be made for a at least three of them to gain the top seed.

Not on here to get under anyones skin? :rolleyes: I think the old saying applies here: "You get all of the respect you deserve". A quick analysis of the data (and I'm no math expert) indicates you're not getting much respect and NUProf is getting a bunch. So, in this particular "poll" the results are in! It's not looking good for you.

Was in class when i got the news. Whole class couldnt understand what the heck i was happy about.

Just another sad sign that most of the student body is so apathetic (Ant that mildly worries me).

Anyway, this is delightful news.

Just want to point out that Utica's Women's team was ranked 9th in the East by the NCAA today. Way to go!

Congrats to the Pioneers. They have done whatr needed to be done to earn top spot. I don't think anyone can argue with that. That said, #14 (what a joke) would like to invite you to the Stafford in the 2nd round for a going-away party for Cody Adams!!
