Utica College Pioneers 2012-13 Season (Part Two)

Re: Utica College Pioneers 2012-13 Season (Part Two)

I was very apprehensive at first, but the Comets have done a great job of promoting themselves while not stepping on UC's toes. That FanFest thing on opening night sounds like a lot of fun, and they brought in Gordie and the Hansens..? Great marketing/PR. (I still don't think Vancouver will hang around even if they sell-out every game, but I will say that they've done everything right so far.)

I'm surprised that UC season-tickets are selling so well, too... Maybe the AHL coming to town won't lead to reduced attendance at Utica games after all, though there may well be fewer walk-ups. (1900 seats sold is right at 50% capacity, so walk-ups are going to tell the tale.)

Still waiting for my season-tix to arrive, BTW. Hope they aren't going to cut it as close as they did last year.
