Week V Posters Poll is go.

Interesting that Quinnipiac is one of the 6 teams that received a ranking from every pollster.

Tiers seem to be UM, then the NHL, then the KHL, then UW/Cornell/ND, then BC, then everyone else.

I look forward to seeing everyone freak out about BU's 3-0 record against the Lindenwoods Of The East this week and bumping them up to the top 5.

I didn't even rank BU until this week and still have the Terriers undervalued. I'm also not giving OSU enough credit for what they've accomplished. I keep thinking that BC, Clarkson, and Mercyhurst will start playing like I expected them to play. So far, it looks like they are just hanging around waiting for March. I also like Robert Morris a lot, but didn't have room for the Colonials. Eventually, I may just dump the underachieving teams and go with those who have actually built a resume.

note that there is little difference between Wi & Cornell
and 6 thru 10

the index is based on the fact that no ranking scheme is 100% valid, by using all of the rankings the deficiencies of each are factored out giving a more accurate rating than any single ranking system can
since people here got their panties in such a huge bunch about the Rutter rankings, I give it twice the weight as the others
(but mostly because the Krach ranking is not yet out, so basically I am substituting a Rutter for a KRACH right now)

Mercyhurst are third in win % in the CHA, so I may find it hard to keep them in for very long. And I think I may be underrating BU relative to BC. BU have executed very well this season. But for my money BC's goal-stravaganza against slightly tougher opposition this weekend keeps them ahead. (And I think the score from the Vermont game underestimates how dominant they were).

While the order within top 6 remained the same, there are still story lines worth monitoring......

......UM winning streak came under attack, sooner or later the bubble will burst.
......Big Red inching closer to Wisco with their increasingly convincing winning ways.
......BC and BU marching along in lock step in tandem, both with convincing multiple wins during the week
.......Harvard moves up at the cost of Clarkson.

Do we really need a top 10.......Really only have a top 9 right now.........Who is number ten.......
..... MC lost, OSU lost, SLU lost, RMU lost, NEU lost
......UNH perhaps, but then they tied UVM.....So......
......I gave it to SLU, as they lost to a good looking Harvard team.

Liked the Blackhawks reference better. GWH deserves no association with the Minnesota Mild. :)
