USCHO Poster's Poll: '17-'18

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '17-'18

Wait what's the story with this?

Unsure. I think you would need to direct questions to the Coach. Might be something in the Waterton news tomorrow about the game,

Marchment and Miller played on Friday but not Saturday.

I remember having a conversation with coach Wells a few years ago. He mentioned that in almost every game a player is sitting out because of either a) academic or b) team violations. He is one the most sincere coaches I have had the pleasure to talk with and cares about how the girls evolve in the program. A few other coaches could take a page out of his book. I am not speculating on these two girls so hoping its just something minor.

Finally had a chance to watch BC. Wow on Watts. Has a freshman ever won the Kaz? How was she not centralized?

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '17-'18

This is an honest question, with as much of my Penn State bias removed as possible: how is anyone still ranking Robert Morris when they couldn't beat Penn State this weekend, and even had to come back in the third period in both games just to manage a tie, and couldn't finish either game in OT?

I'm not saying Penn State should be ranked (yet) - I'm just genuinely curious about what's behind a decision to rank Robert Morris after this past weekend.

I decided to drop them from my Top 10 after they lost to Maine by a 2-5 score two weekends ago. I also took the previous Saturday into account when Minnesota State took them to overtime. And just before tying Penn State twice this past weekend they narrowly beat Brown 3-2. So at this point in the season I don't believe they are deserving of a Top 10 ranking, although future results could obviously change that.

The 10 spot is a dartboard shot. At least people still aren't ranking UMD anymore.......the dart can't hit that one.
