Hello friend! Based on that ballot, it looks like you know what you're talking about! A+.

Thank you Tony, it's actually not that hard, with plenty of good commentary around. I did well in an Australian Rules Weekly picks competition a few years ago, by being unemotional about the outcomes. This weekends double header between St Lawrence and Clarkson should help answer a few questions...

How about those Tigers, huh? I know almost nothing about the AFL except that it's freaking awesome, and that a friend of mine from Melbourne who studied at BC for a semester is a big Richmond fan. He was very happy haha

I'm a Collingwood fan, primarily cos they have the same colours as the All Blacks (NZ Rugby team). However I did meet a guy called Mason Cox last week, who is the first American to play Aussie rules. He made the change from basketball to AFL about 3 years ago, with great success. And I thought moving to North America to play NCAA hockey was tough.

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '17-'18

1. BC - It's their turn*
2. UW - They are a different team without Aaron Rodgers
3. Clarkson - Won the first season of American Idol
4. Colgate - They are Cresting right now
5. OSU - Timothy A leads WI fans in 'Sauve' chant
6. UMD - Better than you think, unless you think they are pretty good
7. St Lawrence - Would be better known, if more people knew them
8. UM - A work in progress
9. Northeastern - At least they have a direction
10. Cornell - Andy Bernard's alma mater is worth a vote

* A couple years ago, on this very board, I first heard of a concept called 'Megan Keller.' My understanding is that 'Megan Keller' is a mythical figure, and is used to represent an undefinable quality that combines speed, strength, mobility, and kindness to small animals. 'Megan Keller' can turn simple breakouts into breakaways, or it can turn power plays into goals. As I look around the Women's Hockey landscape, two teams jump out to me as having this indescribable quality of 'Megan Keller': the US Women's Olympic team, and Boston College.
