Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

1. Wisconsin - all day
2. Minnesota - yup
3. MD - top 3 from one conference, wow
4. BC - they aren't going to lose a game for a while
5. Q - this weekend decides if they stay here
6. Clarkson - ditto v Q and Princeton
7. SLU - ditto v Q and Princeton
9. Colgate - undefeated, yet dropping? (my understanding of the ecac is horrible!)
10. UND - for all I know, they could be #4 or #5

HE - BC will cruise with their HE schedule
ECAC - A hot mess (for good reasons - I mean, Princeton is good too, and Cornell not too shabby)
CHA - Lovin the auto-bid
WCHA - Wisc, MN, MN-D, ND and BSU - loaded and would likely beat ECAC top 5 in a 1-5 matchup (although maybe WCHA goes 4-1)

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

1) Wisconsin - ARD injury? Doesn't matter as they could goes extra attacker all game and still win.
2) Minnesota - Secondary scoring? Without this they will have a "down" year and maybe lose 5 or 6 games.
3) UMD - Shannon Miller decision? Looking like they made the right move.
4) SLU - Top Three? They just might be good enough to be there although a midwest elitist gives the nod to UMD.
5) Colgate - Is the ECAC this good? Seems like so many good teams so yes for now 2 teams in the top 5.
6) BC - Early troubles behind them? Too much talent and too little competition in Hockey Least for them to be out of the top 5 for much longer.
7) Quinnipiac - Early Pairwise trouble? Could be but they can help themselves playing in the stong ECAC.
8. Clarkson - Best 3 loss team? Probably as 2 of those came against Wisconsin.
9) UND - Believe in them? Maybe not quite yet but they helped themselves with wins over BSU.
10) Princeton - Small sample size? Yeah...Just not enough exposure with other league teams playing more games.

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

Wait -- what?

1) Wisconsin - ARD injury?

Was in the Wisconsin thread, nobody knows if there is an injury or not:

With 5:46 to go, Wisconsin was on a rush and when the play was whistled dead Alexis Mauermann was right up at the net and pushed the Mankato defensemen and the defenseman crashed hard into the Mankato goaltender. Mauermann was called for a deserved penalty but her action looked to me due to the speed of the play rather than intentional. That the defender crashed into the goalie looked incidental and accidental.

With just a few seconds left in the game Keys for MSU-Mankato crashed into ARD after the whistle. It looked pretty bad at first look, on the replay it looked like she made no attempt to stop whatsoever. I'd say it wouldn't be outlandish to say she hit her on purpose.

Keys' knee and maybe her thigh came right into ARD's head. Got to hope she doesn't have a concussion. It would be a terrible way for that particular injury to happen.

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

Geez... yeah just checked out the thread. Really interesting that Johnson chose to finish with no goalie.

Umm, let's think this through a bit more.

In its only non-conference play, North Dakota tied and was outshot by Mercyhurst. Mercyhurst is 1-6-1.

Both North Dakota and RIT went to overtime with Minnesota State this year. RIT is 1-9. North Dakota edged Minnesota State by one shot on goal in their overtime game.

In one of its better showings, North Dakota split with St. Cloud State this year. So did the 2015 last place Hockey East team.

Wisconsin more than doubled up shots on North Dakota in two games. The only team to be close to Wisconsin in shots was ... not from the WCHA.

If North Dakota is someone's #4, then RIT and Mercyhurst should also be getting some top 10 votes.

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

Do you need a safe space to go so you can clear your head of his micro-aggression against you?

that isn't a micro-agression, it is a cultural appropriation by TTT to take red from the cheeseheads and give it to someone else
cultural genocide at it's worst

and we have all been educated on how important culture is to winning hockey games
TTT is clearly trying to derail the destiny of the Badgers 2017 WCHA & NCAA championships

Why can't you make WI's line on the chart red? What is this, 1996?
LOL -- The colors are assigned at random. I could manually assign them each week but ain't nobody got time for that.

I re-sort the table for each week so I think the colors would change.
