USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

1. Wisconsin
2. Minnesota
3. Colgate
4. SLU
5. Princeton
6. UMD
7. BC
8. Quinnipiac
9. Northeastern (impressive after horrible opening week-end)
10. Clarkson

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

By this logic you should have SLU above Princeton since they beat them at the end of last year.

You are right! I was also thinking about SLU graduations - some good players graduated, but doesn't seem to be bothering them.

GRANT - Can you flip my #4 and 5?? (if you can't, I'll remind you about putting Robert Morris in top 10)

Thanks.

Haha will do

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

This weeks top ten theme is WCP or white courtesy phone. Players or things will be "paged" to the white courtesy phone that need some attention.

1) Wisconsin - Paging Annie Pankowski to white courtesy phone and paging the power play to the white courtesy phone.
2) Minnesota - Paging Nicole Schammel to the white courtesy phone and paging the first period to the white courtesy phone.
3) St. Lawrence - Paging Lydia Grauer to the white courtesy phone.
4) UMD - Paging the penalty kill to the white courtesy phone.
5) BC - Paging Andie Anastos to the white courtesy phone and paging the second period to the white courtesy phone.
6) Colgate - Paging Shae Labbe to the white courtesy phone.
7) Quinnipiac - Paging Abbie Cleary to the white courtesy phone.
8) Clarkson - Paging Amanda Titus to the white courtesy phone.
9) Princeton - Paging game action to the white courtesy phone.
10) Bemidji - Paging the first period to the white courtesy phone.

5) BC - Paging Andie Anastos to the white courtesy phone
Andie's only played in a few games this year. She was injured in the 2nd UMD game and missed pretty much every game until this past weekend against QU.

She did dress for some of those games in between but was slotted into the 4th line and barely played (if at all).

Thanks for the inside update into "what" needs attention.

I know the BC player isn't a fourth liner when healthy, but there are a couple of kids playing mostly 4th line on FiveHole's list. I don't get it.

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

I did too, if BC takes care of business over the next week, they will jump in my rankings next week
BC looked seriously good against Q in both games (I think we looked even better in the 0-0 tie than we did in the win) although I'm not all that high on Q so we'll see how that shakes out.

Having Anastos back made a huge difference. No way do we lose to Maine if she's healthy.

The problem for BC the next two weekends is that the best defenseman in the world is going to be playing for Team USA instead of BC for the next 4 games.

Remember that playing defense is part of a defenseman's job. ;)

Re: USCHO Poster's Poll: '16-'17

I redid my rankings,
originally I didn't penalize Quinnie for the loss as much as I would have because it was against BC, but I forgot to give BC credit for beating Quinnie :p

oh, and that's a nice big one you caught there TTT
although ARM has a point, maybe the argument can be settled by replaying the first 15 seconds of last years championship game:D

Not much to get...The eastern teams I don't know very well so I relied strictly on stats lookup. You could give me info on any of the players you "don't get" like GS did or suggest some of you own. :)
