Today, listening to some of the bands you've recommended to me over the years, like Young The Giant, TV On The Radio, The Dandy Warhols, St. Vincent, Cloud Cult, and more. Also reliving my teen years and listening to Third Eye Blind, Goo Goo Dolls, Hole, Gin Blossoms, Beck...

The Cure.

Spotify is recommending I also check out Peter Murphy, Siouxsie and the Banshees, and the Psychedelic Furs.

Based upon those recommendations I would also suggest Bauhaus, Tones on Tail and Love & Rockets, Echo & The Bunnymen, Modern English, The Church, The Chameleons, Simple Minds, The Teardrop Explodes, Gene Loves Jezebel, New Order, The The...

I know that's a lot but still. :)

Echo and The Bunnymen: I'd already heard "Nothing Lasts Forever" and "The Killing Moon." "Lips Like Sugar" is pretty good too."

Here is my post-punk lineup. I think you will love the *'ed ones since they are more upbeat.

C'mon, New Order is just made for Miss Thundercat. Cue up Age of Consent, and just tell me you won't be bouncing around the room before its over.

A few of them run the gamut, you are right.

I also left out some bands which made it big and which I assume she is already familiar with (e.g., Talking Heads).

Come to think of it, Tom Tom Club may be the most Miss T. band ever. "Watcha gonna do when you get outta jail?"

Just listen to Ellington wander through the keys and modes and tempos on this standard -- it's like a graduate seminar in Music Theory in one song.

America has culture.

It's just 75 years old.

That being said, I've been listening to a lot of Julien Baker, Lucy Dacus, Phoebe Bridgers, St. Vincent, and Soccer Mommy lately. Spotify is asking me if I'm okay.
