Pretty cool to be listening to Ozzy doing a Van Halen tribute on his Sirius XM Channel Ozzy's Boneyard and insisting that they play Michael Jackson's Beat It. Arguably containing EVH's greatest guitar solo. People flipping to the channel in the middle of that song must have done a doubletake.
 
Ran across this this morning, and had to post it. The guitar solo at the end is just magnificent.

 
Listening to sad songs when I'm depressed and anxious is one of my worst coping mechanisms, so tonight I'm playing Lady Gaga, Kesha, Meghan Trainor, etc, and dancing and trying to lift my spirits.
 
Tomorrow we can drive around this town

The past is gone but something might be found to take its place...
 
Fade, this weekend, I've listened to the Gin Blossoms, 10,000 Maniacs, Toad the Wet Sprocket, Better Than Ezra, and more alternative acts from the 1990s.

Starting to feel way old.
 
Listened to 10,000 Maniacs, and so decided to check out Natalie Merchant. Spotify linked me to Aimee Mann, Shawn Colvin, and Joan Osborne.

I know Shawn Colvin had a hit with Sunny Came Home, and I know Joan Osborne made the fundies mad with "One Of Us," but I don't know anything about Aimee Mann.

I have a friend with a degree in music somethingorother and she fucking HATES Van Morrison.

But she she also likes journey, so... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
