In the NHL thread I linked to a collaborative song by Foo Fighters and noted that most of the artists that contributed I could not name. So there's an alternative video that shows who each artist is as the song progresses.

Anyway one the acts that participated is a band called Bastille. So I searched them on YT and found they have 2.2m subscribers, and a video from 2012 called 'Pompeii" with 560 freaking millions views? I swear I've never heard the song before. I did the same for every artist I knew I could not name at least 1 song. Man I'm getting old. :p

Those are great, no wonder Bonamassa is waxing poetic about the kid. Take exception to being better than the original though. Been listening to light as a feather since the 70s, Kid ain't playing with Stanley Clarke so no way is it better. Be looking for more of his stuff on You Tube.

I didn't mean the kid is a better guitarist, I meant I liked the SNIPS arrangement better. (The drummer and bass are no slouches either.)

Chick Corea and Al Jarreau would play in Ithaca all the time when I was an undergrad and I never once went to see them. I am a loser. :-(

I'm a big fan of Chicks electric stuff not so much of his acoustical stuff. I've never seen him live, a buddy went to Berklee and thats how I got turned on to Chick.

Yeah. She’s the exception.

I’ve heard that album. Or at least I’m sure I have. We had oral jones and the rat pack for our reception music during dinner. Plus I’ve had Norah on in the background for hours before but I don’t have it by albums, just on shuffle. So I’m sure I’ve heard it.

I’ll listen to it tonight or this weekend in its entirety. Thanks.

Agreed. Although I do find it difficult to listen to Evanescence ever since my dad asked, "What is this, the Indigo Girls with Linkin Park?"

Fiona's new album, from what I have heard so far...so many mixed feelings. Parts of the songs are awesome, and the other parts are "what the hell am I listening to?"

You can say that we all should be socialists or there is no God and get away with it. Say that someone is a better drummer than Peart and the Rush Mafia will be asphyxiating you with cut off body parts. Run. Run very fast. It won't help but at least the rest of us won't get spattered on by the blood. :D
