FYI these aren't songs I'm picking nor lauding necessarily - just listing what played at random. Although I like both songs enough so whatev...

My current choice for band with the deepest bench: T Rex. They recorded a trillion songs, and the quality in the second hundred is still amazing. They play almost as well as the Yardbirds, and they are almost as funny as The Fugs.

solo, picked up "Marry Me" and "Strange Mercy" from St. Vincent today. She also has "MassEducation" (a slowed down version of "MassSeduction") and a collab with David Byrne I want to get.

Listened to this today, the first solo album by Peter Case, that I picked up a while ago. If you've ever seen the 80's movie Valley Girl, you've seen his previous band, The Plimsouls.

This is nothing like them. But still amazing.

Hadn't listened to Nirvana in awhile and figured I'd roll through the whole studio catalog. Currently halfway through Bleach.

Holds up? I assume so. That is a group that is stronger in retrospect. Of all the hype of that scene they were the real deal.

How is Marry Me? MassSeduction? I’m way behind on music now. My last St. Vincent purchase was Strange Mercy and I love that one too. But not as much as Actor...not yet anyway.
