It had an entire other life as this.

Yeah the recording company used the same backing track for both songs which subsequently were released around the same time. Genius!

Also Mr. Fantasy (yes different album) is one of my all-time favorites.

So I have always hated Harry Chapin because I grew up with his sons and they were entitled, spoiled, little sh-ts. But I heard a song in my third grade music class (played on guitar by my hippie teacher) and liked it, and I had forgotten it for 50 years and, suddenly, today.

Not too surprising, I guess: They learned to walk while he was away.

Huh, I just learned they were his stepkids. He seduced their mother, who was married to the son of the Brooklyn Borough President, as her guitar teacher. Nice.

It's actually pretty impressive he didn't wind up in a foundation, Long Island being what it was when I grew up.

I went to a county party convention as an 18-year old cub reporter in 1981, and it was literally smoke-filled rooms, bourbon, organized crime, and whores. America was awesome before it was televised.

Wrapping presents and threw on some vinyl

Since everyone is sick, dad and I hanging out and discovered Apple plus tv has a new 3 episode series on the death of John Lennon. Has interviews with porter, doorman, cab driver from that night. So far interesting

I am 42 years old, and today, I finally listened to Scotty Doesn't Know.

Did you see Eurotrip, watch the video or just listen to the track?

The guys in that Band went to school with Matt Damon and the director of the movie. The ties aside, they all came together to make a really fun few minutes.

IINM Damon shot it in one take as a favor on an off day from shooting a different movie. Not even sure if he asked to be paid. His cameo is epic.
