Lately I've been listening a little bit to Kid Laroi, Aesop Rock, Nas, Lupe Fiasco, De La Soul and Lil Nas X. Nice change of pace from my typical playlists.

My playlist got a shake up too. Lil Nas X, Nas, Biggie, The Used, Dax, Filter, The Crystal Method, and Nelly Furtado.

If one of my favorites has a collaboration with someone I don't know, I'm checking out their stuff too.

Spotify does it again and no hyperbole this is one of the coolest things I've come across in a long time. GOAT from Sweden. Or are they?

Run To Your Mama (Live)
Live at Le Guess Who?

This is wonderful, thank you.

His play through supports the rest of the performers, ties them together, but never steps out of the shape. Particularly in the middle part I actually prefer his version, and appreciate how good the song is even more now.

I thought it was an amazing feat and highlights the prowess that a skilled musician brings to the table. Not only with technique, but having the creativity to fill in what's happening literally on the spot. I studied musical theory for a little bit when I played the trumpet for 2 years, but in reality I'm a total novice. As such when I started watching videos from Rick Beato and similar creators I was blown away by how many ways a musical piece can be broken down and constructed. And like I you I really appreciated what they did in that video.

TIL the writer of EuroTrip (David Mandel) and the members of Lustra (Chris Baird, Nick Cloutman, Jon Baird, and Jason Adams) all went to Harvard along with Matt Damon, which makes that song even funnier.
