Joe Bonamassa "The Guitar Event of the Year" up in Hampton Beach tonight. Nice little ensemble backing him up, Anton Fig (drums), Michael Rhodes (bass), Reese Wynans (piano, Hammond organ), Lee Thornburg (trumpet, horn arrangements) Paulie Cerra (saxophone).

Went used record digging today, and picked up this one for $4, only because I've loved this version of this song since I first heard it when I was 15. And then I saw the record cover had been autographed by the man himself.

This is just bliss.

Extreme: More Than Words

Actual album is Pornograffitti, but yeah they were among the best of the worst. ;)

I mean, you can't listen to "Rest in Peace" and tell me that Nino Bettencourt isn't a very good guitar player.

For my PBR drinking friends: Cheap Beer

:D

As an ex-beer snob (and ex-drinker), that's a great video.

I see Stella at 1:10, though. That ain't cheap, nor punk. Rainer is the beer I think of when it comes to punk, especially within 1000 miles of Seattle.

Like the use of Chimay Blue for the murder. Such an overrated, sugar bomb of a beer.

There are many beers I enjoy more now, but I'll always have a soft spot for Chimay Red as it was one of the first beers that i explored beyond macros.

Never heard of this ska-punk. Nice!

That said, it's always interesting to get the white take on "drunk" (see above) vs. the black take on drunk ("One Million Bottlebags" - Public Enemy).

It's from a compilation "Skankaholics Unanimous" cd I came across years ago. All songs about drinking/partying. Cost me something like $4 new. Funny enough, I have been playing that particular PE CD the last couple days in my car. :D

And Slappy, Chimay is solid.
