I have a wand blender (or what ever they are called) that blends and has an attachment 'bowl' with a chopping blade. Fairly small. Works like a charm for most of what I do. Doesn't grate or slice but the other functions make it indispensable in the kitchen.
Immersion blender![]()
On top of my microwave, which is on top of my refrigerator. (Not sure how well that'd work for you unless you wanted to go get a stepladder whenever you wanted to use it though. This is probably our next purchase...and we still haven't figured out where to store our giant-*** slow cooker.![]()
I, on the other hand, chose not to live in the middle of nowhere. Priorities, I guess.I can't comprehend not having room for stuff, I guess that is why I had to buy a house. I need space. I have 4-5 cupboards in my kitchen that are completely empty right now because I don't have enough stuff to fill them, and I have a decent amount of cooking equipment.

They're awesome. We have 2 (we're getting rid of one). The one I got last year for Christmas has a bowl/chopper attachment, whisk attachment, and blender attachment.I have a wand blender (or what ever they are called) that blends and has an attachment 'bowl' with a chopping blade. Right. OK, so you're not IN the middle of nowhere, you're 20-30 minutes FROM the middle of nowhere. Close enough. On the contrary, it's about 20-30 minutes from Minneapolis. Going to a hockey game, I can get from my house and park at the U in 20 minutes or less.
No. Your demitasse cups will literally explode if you put panna cotta in them.I'm looking at a recipe for panna cotta, and it says to spoon it into ramekins. Given that I don't have any, and can't justify the expense at this time, can I just spoon it into demitasse cups and serve?
I'm probably about 35 minutes from downtown/campus, so thats not too bad, especially considering I get to have a yard, some woods, bonfires in the backyard, ride my 4-wheeler around the neighborhood...On the contrary, it's about 20-30 minutes from Minneapolis. Alright; I'll either use regular coffee cups or will buy a set of ramekins when I go shopping later today.No. Your demitasse cups will literally explode if you put panna cotta in them.
You should be able to get ramekins for fairly cheap. I have 2 sets of 4 that I got (and haven't used yet) that I got for about 5$ each at the grocery store. I would look at your local grocery or maybe a big box store (Target/Walmart/etc).Alright; I'll either use regular coffee cups or will buy a set of ramekins when I go shopping later today.
You do KNOW I was being sarcastic there, right?Alright; I'll either use regular coffee cups or will buy a set of ramekins when I go shopping later today.

Now that I think of it, it's a good thing I asked. Not only am I making panna cotta today, I'm also going to start making things like baked eggs, individual souffles, chicken pot pies, etc.You do KNOW I was being sarcastic there, right?![]()
