US National Teams: U30s & Mrs. Potter, U22s, U18s Part II

Re: US National Teams: U30s & Mrs. Potter, U22s, U18s Part II

 It looks like they couldn't decide on a design concept so they just went with all of the ideas. I watched enough of "Project Runway" years ago to remember how important it is to edit.

And someone probably got paid handsomely to come with this. !!

This is my friend Katia - she must have Americanized her name - she's been here a while - plays now for Assabet Senior A. I think she may be the oldest player of all the women. I have played with and against her for years (and enjoy with much more than against) She has a ripping shot, and she's not afraid to use it. She decided to dedicate herself to training to make this team, and congrats to her for doing it!

Re: US National Teams: U30s & Mrs. Potter, U22s, U18s Part II

Last I heard she was living in Bemidji. On an unrelated note, her parents' home was destroyed in the wildfires in Colorado last summer. :(
Does anybody have any info at all out there as to whether or not the U-18 World Championships taking place in Budapest, Hungary will be live streamed? Team USA's first game takes place this Sunday March 23rd at 12:30 ET!:):)

Does anybody have any insight on the US U18 team? How are they? How are their chances in Worlds?

They are 1 of the 2 best in the world. Either they or Canada will win. No other team will be significantly competitive. Same old, same old - only the players change (at least more of that at the U18 level, since kids age out).

US U18 team starts the tournament today with a 6-1 win over Russia. Looked pretty good for the most part.

IIHF announced the 2015 U18 Women's World Championship will be held in Buffalo the first week of January.

National Festival is in Lake Placid, August 12-18... wish we could get up there for it but we probably can't.

Schedule here: http://www.usahockey.com/news_article/show/407549?referrer_id=752796

Rosters here: http://www.usahockey.com/page/show/1283000-roster

Let the second guessing begin! My notes:

1) Have Megan Bozek, Molly Schaus and Kate Buesser retired?

2) Given that the goal of the camp is to pick an U-18 and U-22 team, it seems odd to have people like Blake Bolden and Lisa Chesson there -- has that been SOP in past years? I hope their inclusion is a sign they're still in the running for the national senior team, Bolden has been great for the Blades this year.

3) Josephine Pucci isn't at this and wasn't at the Beantown Classic either. I hope she's not injured. I hope Amanda Kessel's okay too.

4) Pleased to see the inclusion of Miye D'Oench, Shiann Darkangelo and Paige Savage, who were all outstanding in the games I saw them in against BC. Savage was great in Beantown too.

5) Biggest snub: everyone will have their own choice, but for me it's Brittany Ott, who has been outstanding for the Blades and should be under consideration for the national team, especially if Schaus isn't available. (I'm assuming Bozek, Schaus, Kessel etc are missing it for their own reasons, not because of not having been invited)

6) BC has 8 attendees, plus Megan Keller. Minnesota has 5. Just saying.

I think Minnesota is 7 total when including the "plus" category. I'll count again.

Edit: Yep...I get 7.
