Re: US Junior Team Part II

the canadian player finished the check. if it was on the other skate, the us guy would have skated back to the bench to keep the shift short. (yes, i am really po'd right now.)

game should be over. canada easily could have scored a half dozen times there. dump and change. let canada control the play and fire at will.

Like I said, Campbell has been the difference (along with that crossbar behind him) ;)

No matter which way this ends, pray it doesn't end in a d@M%ed shootout!

Re: US Junior Team Part II

I would have called matching if anything. And like I said, Kristo had his stick slashed out of his hands while Canada was pressuring for the tying goal. No call. He couldn't pressure the guy at the point anywhere near as much as he wanted.

But I guess les and the ref apologists will say that it was cool not calling that.

All is fair when you're playing Canada, nothing to see here!

Re: US Junior Team Part II

I don't know all the names, but I pick a random player on each team (forward preferably) that has no goals yet this tournament. That's who will get the GWG.

Re: US Junior Team Part II

I think, that for the Gold Medal Game, it's play till you win. No 4 on 4, no shootouts. Just sudden death.

They don't decide game 7 of the World Series with a home run derby! Stupid IIHF rule, ain't it??

Re: US Junior Team Part II

I do like our chances 4-on-4. Speed kills, speed is deadlier with open ice.

Re: US Junior Team Part II

Quick Poll

GWG in
(a) 1st 2 minutes
(b) between 2 and 5
(c) 5 and 10
(d) 10 and 15
(e) 15 and 20
