I'd have no problem with a law that states a sitting Member of Congress shall not travel outside the United States without direct approval of the Executive. Too many "fact finding junkets" at taxpayer expense (be it today's Speaker or the GOP in Kep's link).

He can make it a big deal all he wants. The policy involves two countries. He can't dictate to us.
I absolutely agree, just making that point. The PRC didn't make Gingrich's visit a big deal because Xi wasn't in power yet.
That said, I don't recall the same response to Trump's HHS Secretary visiting in 2020, but memory on that is spotty.

When I bought my house a couple major factors for me were someplace that was unlikely to flood(it could happen anywhere obviously) and someplace with a good water supply.

It appears there are no civil rights at all in Russia. I can't imagine why anyone would go there for any reason. Same with China. I understand we're stripping rights away at an alarming rate in our fucked up country but 9 years in prison for a plea bargained misdemeanor possession charge? That's not even human. That is pure Evil is what that is.
