He could absolutely be right. Our traitors are there in the wings and nobody is doing anything about it.

That, and the vast majority of the country cares a lot more about the price of gas, food, etc than democracy in Ukraine. I think a lot of Americans have already moved on to something else.

edit: I personally think we should stay the course regardless of the cost.

Even if the GOP win both houses nothing about our policies will change because Biden will still be in the White House. If this is truly his strategy he is even dumber than Trump.

Congress controls the pursestrings.

I have no doubt a Russian influenced republican party will do whatever they can to eviscerate anything Biden attempts to do. Think how bad the obstruction was in the final 6 years of Obama's presidency. The GQP is even worse now and think about how many more truly despicable republicans are going to be on that side of the aisle in 2025. They will be in complete control of the party.

In 2011 the crazies were Tea Party republicans, who seem almost completely sane by comparison to the current version of the GQP party.

Congress is not cutting off aid to Ukraine if the GOP takes over...getting in a fight with Biden about that would be a losing proposition. The GOP has already picked enough fights with the military they can't afford this one if they want the WH back in 2024. They will whine about it (I can see Rand Paul now using words he doesn't understand to make bad arguments in sad ways) but just like with everything they will find a way to justify going against the very words they say. My guess (based on what I am seeing from the fuckwits on Twitter already) is they will invoke Trump and his warnings about Russia (before Putin groomed him) as a way to keep supporting the war.

Not to mention, even if we somehow did cut off support the rest of NATO for sure won't so again, Putin is a fucking idiot. He has already beefed up NATO because of his stupid dick measuring contest and if France didn't go fascist because of his manipulation no one else in the EU or the UK will. Even clowns like Boris Johnson aren't stupid enough to back away from the Ukraine in the middle of all this. Maybe if Russia was steamrolling like everyone thought they would turn away cause it is a lost cause but Ukraine is embarrassing Russia and Putin, and our allies are stronger now than they have been in over a decade.

NATO is not going anywhere. Putin miscalculated the second Trump lost he should have abandoned this whole idea because Biden was always going to reverse the damage Trump did to NATO. Putin has the numbers, but not the officers, to win any sort of war that the West cares about. That was the point of supporting the GOP...they don't give a crap about Europe. Now, even if he outlasts Ukraine his victory is hollow and everyone sees it. He is now at the point Hitler was when he was locking up generals for telling him the truth only Putin just pushes them out of windows.

Stop me if you've heard this one before

A Russian general was killed in eastern Ukraine, a Russian state media journalist said on Sunday, adding to the string of high-ranking military casualties sustained by Moscow.

The report, published on the Telegram messaging app by state television reporter Alexander Sladkov, did not say precisely when and where Major General Roman Kutuzov was killed.

There was no immediate comment from the Russian defence ministry.

This one goes up to eleven (edit: apparently 8).

Sounds like things are going to hot up this week in the South China Sea. I’ll be very disappointed if every Australian P-8 flight isn’t escorted by American fighters.

Maybe the Chinese pilots just fly as poorly as they all drive…
