Personally I hope the Ukraine Air Force pulls this maneuver:

Serbia voted for the resolution.

I saw it described as "a little brother testifying against his older brother who murdered someone in cold blood".

It's not that simple.

Serbia has not imposed any sanctions against Russia, and likely won't as their current economy is deeply connected to Russia and their territorial dispute with Kosovo is entirely dependent on Russian support. They have actually increased flights to Russia filling some of the void from other European nations' closure of air space.

They have also been trying for over a decade to join the EU and is hopeful to finally do so in 2024, but the negotiations are still going on. Joining the EU is arguably their only real economic hope long-term.

A better comparison would be a US legislator breaking with their party when their vote makes no difference to the outcome but would be politically damaging.

Putin keeps the Russian stock exchange closed for a record fourth day. Longest stretch closed since the 1998 economic collapse.

Faced with threats of withdrawals and growing animosity in the athletes village, organizers of the Winter Paralympics on Thursday reversed course and expelled athletes from Russia and Belarus.

The about-face came less than 24 hours after the International Paralympic Committee announced it would allow Russians and Belarusians to compete when the Games open Friday but only as neutral athletes with colors, flags and other national symbols removed because of the invasion of Ukraine.

Unrelated, but just had three C130s fly directly over my house at 2k feet. Those things are loud.

Right? I live very close to the landing path for a small airport here, the one that the MA National Guard uses regularly. So, a constant stream of C130s, helicopters (including those giant Chinooks), even some V22s.

You want to talk about loud. V22s and Chinooks. My god. When they come in formation the ground shakes.

*Laughs in F-22 and C-17*
