Re: University of North Dakota - Offseason Thread 2010

Facts? Ya mean like that insidious, mindless jibberish you pass off on unsuspecting undergrads in that "Johnny Appleseed, The Pinks Rocks of NoDak and You" class you teach? [and I use the word 'teach' advisedly] Puh-leeze.

Have a good weekend Rockenheimer.
hey, just cause he teaches a boring subject that no one wants to lean about doesn't mean you should make fun of him. :p
Thanks.....I think :p :D

Re: University of North Dakota - Offseason Thread 2010

Boy Blais sure looked under a lot of rocks to find that kid.

Of course everyone knows he is a good player. He is the master because walters is going to play 10 times as hard for Blais now because he gave him a chance.

Hey, can you look in your Crystal ball and tell me what other players in the WCHA will play tens times harder, and what ones will only play 9 times harder for someone else? Are there any players who will play 11 times harder for Blais? How hard do UND players play, only 7 times hardener for hakstool?

Re: University of North Dakota - Offseason Thread 2010

I think he was just comparing Walters play if he were playing for Lucia versus Blais. As the Gopher teams from the last few seasons have shown, some of the players seem to give about 50% effort under Lucia. Unless Hill "encourages" them to give more intensity, then it increases to 60%. ;)

I don't know about Hak and Blais do with their players but it isn't hard to see how hard the goofer players play for Lucia...

Naming the new Bemidji rink after coach Peters is very cool.

The guys in this group will....

When I look down at my crystal balls I see the top of your head.

Oh, please. Gave him a chance? Walters was not going to have any problem finding somewhere to play.

Re: University of North Dakota - Offseason Thread 2010

Quiet off season so far.

Aside from a preseason Hobey Baker finalist deciding to come back for a fifth season and two players contemplating going the MJ route, yes, it has been quiet. :) ;)

I think what the rock doc was trying to point out was the lack of arrests so far this offseason. :D ;)

Yeah, but compared to the past few years of waiting to see which stars will or won't be with the team for the next....

And the two players who might go the MJ route are good players, but even if they leave that won't take the best potential returning players out of the team's picture.

Lack of arrests is always a good thing. :D

Haven't been around here in a while. Glad to hear that Chay will be back next season. :)

It's confirmed now. Both are gone. I agree with you though on neither affecting this team too much for next season.

The roster for next season is starting to take shape. Both Fienhage and Toews are bolting for the WHL and Simpson, Forbort, and Rodwell are for sure coming in.

It is now official -- Corey Fienhage is headed to the WHL.

Fienhage signed with the Kamloops Blazers today, giving up his final two years of college eligibility.

"Corey is a big, physical defenseman who felt that the WHL was the best route for him in order to prepare himself to play pro hockey," Kamloops GM Craig Bonner said. "He is a mobile defenseman that will have an opportunity to play an important role with our hockey club. Anytime you can add a player who is a highly touted pro prospect, it is a benefit to your team."

Playing time would have been a big question for Fienhage with UND returning every defenseman and adding Derek Forbort and Dillon Simpson next season.

The Sioux also will be losing David Toews to the WHL. Toews, who was a scratch at the end of the last two seasons, figures to get more playing time there as well.
