University of Maine Off-season 2024: Insert Pun Here

Tickets for individual games went on sale this morning. The Saturday night (11/16) game against BU is the first sellout. Two non-restricted view seats remain available for Friday. One non-restricted view seat remains for both games against UNH. Only a handful of tickets remain for both Denver games in January.

Looks like I'm not going to any games this year unless I can get tickets from season ticket holder. Glad they are on TV

You can get tix and just get through the door. I got tix for three Saturdays and not all “pairs” are together. (I know a guy who has never sat in a seat in 30 or so years…probably so he can dodge flying pucks and let his neighbors get hit)

One pair is together in a decent location, the other tix are all spread out all over…one right by maine’s bench and the other behind the opponent goalie (for Quinnipiac).

the front row, behind the goalie seats are fun if the students are loud

i’m hoping Josh can be magical without his brother…but I remember Paul Kariya’s second “year” when he had nobody to play with who knew how to catch his passes.

here’s hoping for another fun season

Hey, I sat in my seats for years :)

Our first baby is due a week before the season starts. If I (or my wife) can't go I'll keep you in mind wally. Would definitely rather sit with an internet crazy than by myself.

Congrats on the baby

Thanks! We are definitely looking forward to having another Black Bear fan in the family.

Also not sure if it got lost in the shuffle over the last couple days but looks like Maine landed another '07 recruit: Henry Sampair

LHD from MN who played in Long Island with fellow recruits Poul Andersen and Malachi McKinnon.

Looks like another great addition, described as a small but slippery defensemen with outstanding skating and lateral agility. Can make quick plays and has good vision. Needs to work on being stronger in front of his own net.

As a side note, it seems like he is part of a big hockey family where he might have 4 brothers and another cousin(?) in the same town going to same high school Hill-Murray in Minnesota. Also found this hockey skating trainer with Sampair last name that seems to be a Dad or Uncle in the family… https://www.jessesampairskating.com/

Maybe this might lead to other Sampair’s considering Maine also? We have had a history of brothers here(Kariya, Weinrich, Tortorella, Ferraro, Heisten, Nadeau, Hopkins, Capuano). Probably missing more.

Coach Barr is building a pipeline to Minnesota, where he is from.

Hmmm - didnt look into him but --- small and needs to get stronger in front of net.
Snds like Barr may just be willing to give the kid a chance and see.
Im not sold on these smaller D players, ok one or two on the roster at a time is fine.

Congrats on your new arrival!

I wonder why kids from MN would go to LI? It’s probably a great program but seems like kind of an odd move to me.

Maine now has 12 dmen committed. I would think a number of them will be let go at some point.

Yes good one, Anders and Magnus.

I mean the Hopson brothers.

Also, I noticed a younger Chabrier brother on that 16U LI Gulls Championship team. So maybe he plans to come to Maine too?

PC load letter, WTF?

Not that no talent a55clown

and how embarrassing, I did not remember the Hopsons…I used to collect game-worn jerseys and I have both Keenan13 and John17 (the year John won mvp of the regional)

Season is in high gear season tickets issued, games sold out, and coaches are now on the ice!
Should be an interesting ride, looking forward to seeing how the new players do, how the team chemistry will be, and goal tending.
