University of Maine Off-season 2024: Insert Pun Here

Hopkins no longer listed on team roster. Really too bad because I think he has a high ceiling. He didn’t play a ton last year so I wonder if there was something else off the ice that we didn’t know about.

He really seemed on the outs from the start.

I thought he showed flashes as well. It is really crowded with RHD this year with Chabrier, Djurasevic, Antonacci, Arnott, Nobes, Dalton and Morse. Not sure Hopkins was a needle mover.

I thought Hopkins had potential. Odd he would depart, his choice or not, at this point missing the portal. His options are limited, strange.
Barr is rebuilding the D.

The flex plan 5-game tickets sold out in a few hours. Group sales (10+) are open now. Individual tickets go on sale next week.

The season ticket holder presale for the game 12/29 in Portland began this morning. The fees from TicketBastard are extortionate. I could take the Downeaster to Portland, the bus to the Civic Center, buy the tickets, grab a bite in the Old Port and return home for less money.

This is pure speculation but if I had to guess the preseason workouts basically confirmed that some combination of Chabrier/Djurasevic/Antonacci/Arnott are getting most of the ice time for RD. Hopkins isn't 21 until April 15th, so I would imagine he goes back to juniors and finds a new team for next year. Too bad as I thought he was a good player, but I have to think this means that the other options are noticeably better.

Agree 100% with this. The other guys being a few years older probably worked against Hopkins. Hopefully he winds up in a good situation.

I checked the day they went on sale and no way am I paying $15 per ticket in fees.

Yeah, something strange going on here. He seemed to be in the doghouse after first semester.

If his scholarship was reduced or cut then he can still transfer even though portal is closed. It is an exception.

Wish him luck wherever he goes. Like you, I thought he had potential. Something there wasn’t right for Barr??

The fee for orders with the university is $5 and (ostensibly) goes to the school so I don't mind. This is an outrageous per ticket fee and goes straight to executive compensation.

The tickets for individual games will start on 27 August at 10AM. Tickets will be available by phone or at the ticket office. Online will only be available in non-business hours.

Prices are $20-40 for non-conference and $22-42 for conference games.

My first choices would be the Denver series or the Quinnipiac series. Bonus it is cheaper.

That is great news. He’s described as agile, crafty, slippery with good speed and tenacious. Small side but great skill. Had a solid year last year in USHL.
