University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

Maine's strategy seems to be making Whitehead move laterally. Had a few good chances so far.

Powerplay really needs to get going before we get into the meat of the schedule in a couple weeks.

Someone was in on Whitehead all alone, and got robbed. I think it was Fowler. He can’t buy a goal if so. That was a major save.

I was frustrated watching Maine d moving the puck up ice… or lack there of. Specifically Holt and Charbrier which usually do a fine job.

Lets hope they show some heart this period.

2 to 1 but to be honest that powerplay was bad. Too many forced passes, not moving their feet, unforced turnovers. Need to be better

I thought Maine carried the play heading into the 5 minute power play. Whitehead and NU defense is playing great. NU up to 12 blocked shots. Maine has to keeping cycling and get guys in front of Whitehead. Probably it will take an ugly goal to tie it. Whitehead is stopping what he can see, that is for sure.
