University of Maine 2024–2025: Freel-ing good

Breen didnt play last several minutes after the blocked puck with the knee. He was favoring his leg all night. Rehab from surgery looks to be going slower than he wants

Wow, have a lot going on currently so could only watch parts of the game and listen to others, but to battle back like that shows their guts and strength. Still not great to cough up the 4-1 lead and allow four straight to almost lose, but to do that and still fight back from it and win is a good sign in terms of mental toughness.

It showed heart and a never die attitude that helps the team gel. Nadeau made the best defensive play by diving and blocking that empty net shot, I thought for sure Q would score with the puck that deep and close. Then you had two defensemen score the game tying and game winning goal. Wild and crazy game.

A win is a win, tough way to get it but it goes like that sometimes. Losing a 4 1 lead isn't the best but keeping your head in the game shows some mental toughness. I think Boija looked off, he had a strong reaction after 1st goal went by him. He is generally stoic. I see comments about Breen having offseason Knee Surgery and apparently it is still bothering him. Didn't see him late so.... Josh keeps flying around the ice, he will break through sooner or later. Must be weird not playing with Bradly after doing it for so long.

If Marcellus wants to come to Maine next season I'd take him :) I expect Q to be in the thick of things come end of year and these 2 wins should help Maine in PWR.

Wow, that was a weird one. But outcome was fine. I remember a certain decent Maine team in 93 having a giant meltdown that ended as a loss in OT. Not the case last night.

Frigging fun team to watch. Fast and physical, the Q looked wasted at the end. But I too would take Marcellus in a heartbeat. Smooth operator.

On Boija, I thought most of the goals were not easy saves. Some redirected or rebound goals. Plus he had some great saves where he anticipated cross ice passes and was set up to defend the quick one timers. I think just the 5th goal was one he usually makes. Normally he is better position and further out of the net to take away that short side blocker side. Not his worst game, and not his best. It was solid given how many power plays and grade a chances he faced.

Kind of crazy Maine’s top line isn’t producing and yet they are 3-0.

I’m hoping Barr sends the video of the hit from behind to Murphy head of officials. Seems like Arnott has a head injury and this is what they are trying to eliminate. Yet no call, and then they call Maine for one with less of a violent hit a little later in the game Friday. They also called Maine for too many men on the ice when short handed and on replay I can’t see a fifth man. The Maine bench appeared to be perplexed as to why they called that. Strange call from a linesman. They immediately called Q after for the first questionable penalty for a trip on Djuresevic as a make up call. I don’t think this was a very well officiated series.

I think this will fire up Q for when they host UNH next weekend. :D You are welcome UNH.

Dalton played pretty well with the extra minutes last night.

But yeah it was a pretty blatant hit to the head on Arnott that was missed.
. Roulliard has his priorities…he got those ever important “handling the puck with the hands” minors…head contact and concussions really don’t matter in comparison

Lol, Hansen too good grief.
The boarding call against maine was right in front of hansen, he was watching.
Roulliard called it from 100ft away. It was oobvious enough
