Just a note. In looking over the numbers from last year, even with the missed games from suspensions, Mat was the highest scoring defenseman in DI College Hockey last year with 39 points.

Mat Bodie, Sr, D, Union 40 8 31 39 0.97 0 1 0

I could be mistaken, but I don't think MBodes has appeared in any of the Rangers preseason games to date. I think it's a longshot that he makes the opening day roster, but who knows? Ghost did not play last night for Philly v. Devils. They play the Rangers tonight. I'd love to see Bodes and Ghost on ice together. I assume Ghost will start the season in the AHL as well, time will tell and that time is drawing near.

Great carear but not even a thought for the team. Will do well in AHL and maybe in a year or two get a shot up. He is not yop ten in their depth chart and before using they would trade for another D.

Great carear but not even a thought for the team. Will do well in AHL and maybe in a year or two get a shot up. He is not yop ten in their depth chart and before using they would trade for another D.

I assume you are referring to Ghost? If so, what do you base your conclusion on that he didn't have a thought for the team?

Ghost will be in the Flyers lineup tonight vs the Rangers (preseason) -- MSG and NHL Network will show it. Game starts at 7.

Bodie isn't in the Rangers lineup.

No, talking MB, who I loved as a player

Ghost is in another world, right now over 50% he will make team, will prob play a lot down but brings a lot to the table that they don't have. His confidence level and I belong here attitude has caught manys attention in org, several of whom had thought no chance...

Ghost is so impressive. I truly believed driving out of Philly last year he was the best defenseman in the NCAA. Will be watching him tonight. Can't wait to see him represent the ECAC on a day to day basis in the NHL sometime soon

It's time for war ... but first, before blood is spilled, there are some trophies to share and some banners to hoist to close out last year's sacrifices and begin them all anew. So let it all begin.....

On October 10, let the bloodletting begin!!! Let us 'Hoist the Colours' and let us lead the ECAC again into battle. :)

I don't see Bodie listed on the preseason roster on the Rangers' website but neither have I seen anything about him being reassigned elsewhere.

He's still in camp (practiced yesterday) but he'll likely get assigned to Hartford soon.

By the way, San Jose assigned Grosenick to Worcester today.

Haggerty awarded first star, and had a nice interview between periods. The game did not look too fast for either of them. Ghost scored on a typical blast from the point. A bit of a soft play by him in the corner did however contribute to the Rangers final goal.
