Martin decommitted from Yale because they wanted him to play a year of juniors and arrive a year later than he originally expected to.

Just going by what I was told last season:

But he later decommitted because Yale's staff wanted him to play a year of junior hockey and arrive in 2014-2015, a season later than expected.

"I committed to Yale pretty early in my sophomore year [of prep school]," Martin said. "As things progressed into my junior year, when they saw me coming in changed a little bit. It wasn't anything to do with their coaching staff or the school. It was more just the logistics of when I was coming in."

It is not something that he is going to publicly talk about, especially when you're printing it......which is my point! I understand you can only go by what he said.....so we will leave it at that.

I will unfortunately be out of town when they raise the national championship banner. Will Union video tape the ceremony and put it on YouTube or something?

I will be there with professional grade video equipment, hoping to catch all the pregame ceremonies. Taking the day off to do it. Will ask the AD if he will let me tape. My season tickets are great and put me right in the action. The school may tape it for those folks that subscribe to game video. Last year the service included senior day ceremonies.

The ceremony/game will be on TWC sports which will likely be available on demand shortly after the original broadcast.

Charlie Vasaturo was named this season's captain. Sam Coatta and Daniel Ciampini were named alternates.

Daniel Carr was assigned today by Montreal to Hamilton in the AHL.
