Well lucky for us it was no goal. The net was barely knocked off, I hardly noticed it watching it live and didn't catch it till they looked over the replay still 6-2I wish he wouldn't do that. Michigan has scored again. There's still a lot of time left. I'll admit, I'm superstitious. I just think it's way too premature.

Big OOC win for Union and the ECAC for that matter. Michigan is in a slump for sure, but is a very talented team with a lot of speed and size, not to mention 10 or so NHL draft picks. This could be a good pairwise game come postseason if as I suspect, UM improves later this season. Last year Minnesota and this year Michigan. These were inconceivable wins a few years ago. Great job by the coaching staff and the team. No rest for the weary though with two big conference road games next weekend. Also need to hope that Mat Bodie is not badly hurt.

That's a huge win for the program and the team.. Congratulations to the coaches & players!!! Time will tell how good the Wolves really are this season, but that is a very difficult place to play and the boys took Michigan's best punch in the last period and actually pulled away for the W. Has to be a big confidence boost for the players and hopefully is a step in learning what it takes to win big games.
Any details on how Bodie got hurt? I only caught the radio feed in the 3rd period and didn't catch what happened.

I didn't catch the Bodie injury described as "upper body". But apparently he needed to be assisted off the ice but did return to the bench for the third, but didn't not play.
Coach Dumais told Matt Dubrey that he hadn't spoken with the training staff but thought it might have been his neck or the back of his head. Don't like the sound of that, but we'll have to wait and see. I'm sure Ken Schott will be on it.
Union picked up a few spots in the pairwise, but is still well outside of the top 16 at no. 23. Still have OOC games with Denver, CC and Merrimack where wins would help a lot. Yale, Colgate and Cornell are all ahead of U also. Still way too early to get overly analytical about it. Best just to win another Cleary and then the tournament.

This is an amazing win for the team despite Michigan's recent troubles. I could have never imagined just a few short years ago that a Union team could've gone into Yost and won, let alone drop a 6 spot on Michigan. Congratulations to the players and staff!

Bodie went to make a hit on a wolverine player and he got hit in the head. He had to be helped off the ice and looked very out of it and couldn't skate on his own power. Didn't look the same after the game as well. Hopefully he doesn't have a concussion and if he does hopefully hes back this weekend! That is all i know on the injury.

Union up 2 spots in the new INCH rankings. They check in at #9 while Michigan dropped out entirely. Union is the highest ranked ECAC team - Colgate is 10, Yale is 12, and Cornell is 17th. Clarkson is on the bubble.

I guess there are a few more players out right now other than hatch and bodie. Kyle Bodie is also out I guess for a couple weeks with an injury. Also Troy hasn't practiced this week, he is out sick. Hopefully we can get these guys back before the weekend but more importantly before we hit the tough OOC teams on our schedule.
