An SLU fan here wishing Union all the best in the FF. An unbelievable accomplishment for a talented and well-coached team. Union really had a pretty dominating skate through the regionals. That hit Welsh laid on the freshmen from UML was a great hit too, and not a penalty in my book. Glad the refs were swayed by the fact the kid got crushed and gave him 2 instead of 5. Savor it. Even better, WIN IT!!! Cracks at this don't come very often for even the best teams. Union sure has come a long way in the last 10 years. They really deserve to be commended on their performance so far this year. I hope it continues!

I was pretty nervous when that Welsh hit happened... was worried he was going to get tossed like a few others did this weekend.

I got my tix through Union Athletics and have sold my other tix. Does anyone know where the Union tix are located?

USA Today must be under ESPN's payroll, and they're told to say that college hockey is second rate. :eek::p

I'm trying to get free tickets, but if that doesn't work out, I'm waiting to purchase them from Union until I know where the seats are. They told me to call back this afternoon after their conference call and they should have that information then.

I've noticed that the school bookstore website has stuff the "Spirit Store" link doesn't, like jerseys, regional champion hats etc. You'd think all that stuff would be in one place.

Also, after offering Cleary Cup champion shirts for two years, I was surprised they didn't offer anything commemorating the Whitelaw win.

I'm finding it difficult to find the ECAC Champions t-shirt that they were selling in AC right after the game. I didn't want to stand in line for the $35 shirt, figuring it would eventually be available at the bookstore. Anyone know for sure?

typical for the paper....what I do not understand is they have the title on the national rankings and yet NEVER have anything about college hockey

Rick Bennett named a Spencer Penrose finalist (National College Hockey Coach of Year).

It's safe to say that he has put his signature on this team.
